Message Title: Gateways to Supernatural Blessings in Hard Times (Part 3A) | Bishop David Oyedepo | 21st April, 2024

Introduction

It’s an enquiry that leads to discovery. It’s never heard that darkness swallows up light or threatens light. Supernatural blessings are the secret to our exemption in hard times. The covenant of seed time and harvest remains in force as the earth remains. In this church, we’ve never known any dry season. A genuine commitment to kingdom advancement endeavours keeps the believer flourishing; Haggai 1:5 -13.

Every blessing of God is fantastic. Life is a pleasurable adventure if you apply the bible sense.

The seed time and harvest covenant is the gateway to a world of blessings and the secret to our exemption in hard times; 1 Kings 17:13-15. It remains in force while the earth remains.

“Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;”

“Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.” Jeremiah 33:20 – 21.

You can’t be on the giving platform and still be on the begging line!

Prayer and fasting will never be a substitute for giving. If you want power, you can pray and fast but, If you want blessings, continue to be a giver.

The power to give is the gateway to the power for wealth. Until you are empowered to give, you cannot be empowered for wealth.

Your seed is your covenant life insurance!

Your seeds must be sown willingly, to be acceptable by God and for your rewards to come. Hence, give according to what you have, do it willingly and it will be acceptable and rewarded.

When you give, you are not giving to the church, but rather unto God!

A spiritual perspective on the covenant of giving will go a long way in keeping you consistent.

“And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.”

“And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.” Exodus 35:21-22.

Giving God the first place empowers you to flourish in hard times. When you commit to Kingdom promotion, you commit God to supply your needs supernaturally.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.

You will not experience dry season if you walk in the covenant of seed and harvest time.

Every blessing in the kingdom trails a believer’s obedience!

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.” Deuteronomy 28:1-2.

Without obedience, no believer is a candidate for God’s blessings. Christianity without obedience is a life in crisis.

“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:”

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:”

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

“So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.” Genesis 12:1- 4.

You won’t lose your peace if you keep pace with God. God is on your side; He is only taking your destiny pace by pace, don’t allow the devil to rob you of His blessings.

Covenant people enjoy joy unspeakable and full of Glory; there is a defence around every covenant Christian.

May you receive the grace for obedience to beautify your destiny and secure your place in eternity.

3.It secures divine protection.
“Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.” Job 22:21.
“Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;” Psalm 20:2.

When you walk in the covenant, God builds an edge around you, making you impenetrable.

4.It stimulates joy and rejoicing.
“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:” 1 Peter 1:8.
“Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;”
“How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.” 2 Corinthians 8:1 – 2.

Every giver enjoys an order of unexplainable joy.

5.It terminates barrenness.
“(A Song of degrees for Solomon.) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”
“It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.”
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalms 127:1- 3

Barrenness is illegal in the life of the believer. The fruit of the womb is part of the reward for covenant service.
You can secure your posterity by walking in the covenant.

6.It engenders longevity.
“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.” Exodus 23:26.
Everyone who walks in the covenant comes under God’s protection.
Note:
Your giving does not help anyone else but you, it does not help God or the needy. If you decide not to give, someone else will. We are only privileged to be a blessing to others.

Covenant Day of Long Life Ministration
Christ died to deliver you from the fear of death.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;”
“And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:14 – 15.

Free yourself from the fear of death by feeding on light!
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.

Jesus holds the key of death, not the devil and Jesus holds it in your favour because you are a child of God.
Believers don’t die, they only sleep and those who sleep, sleep at night.
“For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” 1Thessalonians 5:7.
“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” 1Thessalonians 4:13.

It will be too early to sleep at 7 p.m., which can be likened to dying at 70. The allotted time given to us as believers is to sleep at 120 years, don’t sleep before the time.
When you serve God, He will fulfil the number of your days.
“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.” Exodus 23:26.
As far as your eyes can see, God will give unto you. It is what you believe and receive that you are empowered to experience.
“There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” Isaiah 65:20.
“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” Genesis 6:3.

In the kingdom, It’s what we receive and believe we’re empowered to experience
“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” Ephesians 5:8.
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130.

Demands of the Covenant of Longevity
1.Be born again.
“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:7.
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4.
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57.

Receive and believe the provision of a good old age.
“The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.” Corinthians 15:56.

Stay in love with God.
“But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.” Isaiah 41:8.
“For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.” John. 17:8.

Be committed to serving God as a lifestyle.
“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”
“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.” Exodus 23:25 – 26.

Be committed to a life of joy and rejoicing.
“(A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.) It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:”
“To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,” Psalm 92:1 – 2.

Let Godly living become your way of life.
“Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” 1 Timothy 4:3, 8.
“Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.” Psalm 34:14.
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,” Ephesians 1:13.

We live in the provision of longevity!
“And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.” Deuteronomy 34:7.
“And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.” Genesis 15:15.
“Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.” Genesis 25:8.

Stay in love with God!
Ley everything about God turns you on!
