TOPIC: Choosing God Above Man (Seeds Of Destiny 23 July 2023)
SCRIPTURE: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you choose God and His Kingdom above man, everything you need in life would be added unto you.
MESSAGE:
A man came to me, and said, “I have a house in a popular estate here in Abuja. It is a big house, a seven-bedroom duplex, and it has a basement. Pastor, I would like you to come and see that house and let me know if you like it”.
I asked, “What is the house for?’’
Interesting then at that time, we did not have a house yet. We were still living in a rented apartment.
Then he said, “Come see it first.” He said it in a way that gave me an impression that if I liked the house, he would give it to me. That man was a man of great substance.
He later came on a Healing and Deliverance Service day and asked that we go to see the house.
I told him, “There is service now. Can we go and see the house after the service?”
He said, “No! It is better we see it now.”
To me, the implication of what the man was saying was: “Choose between my offer and God. It is either you prefer to serve God or you follow me and get a seven-bedroom duplex.”
With that understanding, I told him: “If that is the case, I cannot follow you now because of the service”.
He derisively said, “Okay” and left.
From that day till now, he has not returned to show me the house, and there is no challenge. I enjoyed God in that service. People were massively saved, delivered and healed.
In the process of time, God began to give us houses. Some time ago, someone who was not a member of Dunamis Church came to give us a house documents in a prime area of Abuja town. He said, “The LORD asked me to give you this house documents. Anytime you are free, you can send someone to come and see the property.”
I have been too busy for over a year now, and so I have not seen it.
You see, when you choose God and His Kingdom above man, everything you need in life would be added unto you.
Remember this: When you choose God and His Kingdom above man, everything you need in life would be added unto you.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Place God and His Kingdom above everything in life.
Avoid the temptation of placing man above God.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to seek You and Your Kingdom first, and place You above all things, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
