Kemi Oyedepo Advices Men Ahead of Valentine ” Love Triggers Submission”

Happy Friday beloved friends,

Love  is in the air so here’s a word to some husbands out there since you’re the one who received a DIRECT commandment to love. I’m not saying wives shouldn’t also love/submit so no bad vibes please. If this truth doesn’t apply to you, don’t accept it. But truth is TRUTH!

As a husband, know that love triggers or activates submission. Any wife who is genuinely loved as she ought to be loved (like Christ loves the church) will willingly submit and respect her husband as she should! It’s not by forcing/cajoling her that you earn her respect. If that’s what you’re doing now, it’s time to change your approach. There is no fear in love.

It’s your duty to love her based on your understanding of her. It’s your duty to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. It’s your duty to love her as you love your own body. For a man who loves his wife actually loves himself. No one hates his own body but nourishes it, just as Christ cares for the church (Eph. 5:22-33).

It is this same pattern that any husband who has the fear of God in him, is expected to follow. It is Christ’s love for us that triggers our submission to Him, so this pattern works! Even if you feel she is just so difficult, keep LOVING! No woman hates being loved, especially by her husband. If Christ’s love for us can provoke a transformation in us, how you love your wife can have the same effect.

This is in no way encouraging wives to dishonor their husbands until he shows you love, no! Each person should take personal responsibility. This is just to help husbands (who need it) see some #light so you can win your wife’s heart and truly enjoy your home. If you believe you have done all you know to do, and things don’t seem to be getting better, please seek godly counsel. Be willing to humble yourself by unlearning some things, learning some new things and applying them with wisdom.

Don’t wait for her; once you know better, do better. Read up on what love is (1 Cor. 13:4-8), and consciously develop the fruit of the spirit in you (Gal. 5:22-23); it’ll help A LOT! Wishing you God’s best in your marriage and family life! Blessed weekend! Cheers…#kemioyedepo #marriage #light #wisdom #crisisproofyourfamily
