Donald Andrew “Donnie” McClurkin Jr., is an iconic American gospel singer and minister, born in Chester, South Carolina, USA.
As a man with various challenges while growing up, his story is that of survival and belief in Christ as his saviour and healing King, that when we he was diagnosed of leukemia, his focus was on Christ instead on taking to treatment as advised by his doctor.
In his continual quest for the worship of God, he became an associate minister, at Marvin Winans’ Perfecting Church in Detroit, Michigan, in 1989. McClurkin served as an assistant to Winans for over a decade. As a renowned worshipper of God, he has won three Grammy Awards, 10 Stellar Awards, two BET Awards, two Soul Train Awards, one Dove Award and one NAACP Image Awards. He is a top-selling gospel music artistes, selling over 10 million albums worldwide!
