THE REWARD OF PURITY (1)

Dear Reader,

Peace and blessings, in Jesus’ name! I want to remind you that there is a seed of greatness laid inside you, so you must rise and shine because your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1). Therefore, this week, I will share with you The Reward of Purity.

According to the Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, purity is defined as the state of not being mixed with anything else… or when something is clean or free from harmful substances. However, in biblical context, purity means to be pure, without blemish or stain (sin) within and without.

There are three areas of purity: thought, words and action. The Word says, Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer (Psalm 19:14). These three are interconnected but separate.

The Three Areas of Purity:

Your Thought. This is like the seed you sow; it has to do with the contents of your heart.  Your heart is the fuel tank of your life, and the issues of purity come from your heart. In Proverbs 4:23, the Bible says: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. As invisible as your thoughts are, they are so powerful that they define your living. Therefore, if you carry stinking thoughts, you will definitely live a stinking life. Your thoughts determine your living, and your life is a product of your thoughts.

For instance, the clothes you have on you right now are a product of your previous thoughts, perhaps since last night. So, everything in your life is a product of your thoughts. Therefore, to secure your future, you must tame your thoughts and tailor them in the desired direction. This is crucial because your life will follow the direction of your dominant thoughts. Little wonder the Bible warns in Proverbs 23:7, For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…. Your thought needs to be tamed. The devil will always bring his ideas to you, so sanitise your thoughts. Refuse to accommodate stinking, wild, negative or anti-glorious thoughts (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Instead, focus on the positive things of life. You may ask, “But how do I sanitise my thoughts?” The following hints will be helpful:

Beware of what you see.Be mindful of what you read.Be careful of what you hear.Your Words. Your word is your bond; it speaks who you are and reflects who is inside you. In Proverbs 17:27, the Bible says: A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered (NIV). Beware of what you say because words are seeds, and when you sow them, you reap them. Mark 11:23 says: …he shall have whatsoever he saith. Your words determine your worth; what you say determines what you have, either positive or negative. In the same vein, your words determine your world. So, you can frame your world with your words. What you declare today determines what will be delivered to you in future. What you say sets a pace for what you see. Please note that your words either spare you or snare you; the choice is yours! Speak the Scripture into your future, and no devil can stop it from coming to pass. Proverbs 6:2 says: Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Your mouth determines your making. You will make it in Jesus’ name!

The second area of purity is what I learnt better when the devil attacked my body. During that time, negative thoughts always flooded my mind, but I learnt how to fight them with words and then with thoughts. I learnt to watch my words, never allowing negative words come out of my mouth. So I kept speaking by faith what the scriptures have declared about my total deliverance and rescue. I kept speaking life-changing words, and slowly but surely, my circumstances began to change for the better until my total rescue was manifested. What you say is final, no matter what the devil or people say. So, what do you say about your future?

Your relationship with God informs what you think or say, but until you accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you cannot have a relationship with God. So, if you are not born again, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born Again.

Congratulations! You are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace, in Jesus’ name!
