The Power of Hospitality- Part 2

Faith Oyedepo

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the concluding part of this teaching. I believe you now understand the importance of hospitality and how you can be hospitable. This week, we will conclude the teaching, The Power Of Hospitality.

As earlier mentioned, hospitality is essential in the life of every woman and her home, just as walking and talking is to physical life.

What is hospitality from another point of view?

It is applied love.It is the practical application and expression of the biblical command to “love your neighbour as yourself.”Hospitality is the active environment in which spiritual truths become connected in relationship with both God and men.Hospitality is a matter of the heart. How large your heart is as a woman will determine how many people you can accommodate.

My husband, the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church worldwide, often told the story of his late grandmother. This woman was so kind that she used to cook for the children of her tenants. The Bishop, who was then young, could not hide his feelings. He asked his grandmother why she bothered herself feeding other children. This was her response, I am sowing seeds for the future so that my children and generation will not lack help. Today, this is practically speaking. You too can start sowing seeds for your unborn generations.

Effect of being Hospitable:

It Rebuilds Community.It Restores Relationships.Reconcile Races.Revive Families.

As a woman, you may not have experienced hospitality in your family, but it can start with you. There is a way you can reach out to someone, and the person will pass on such gestures to others. Be kind to people no matter the experience you had in the past. Also, that relationship you want to trash may be the one you would need to get to your next level in life. One of the reasons for relation conflict is when one refuses to accommodate the other.

However, to be hospitable, you need the help of God. If you are not born again, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born Again.

Congratulations! You are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace, in Jesus’ name!
