Dear Reader,
Welcome to this exciting month of September, where all your long-awaited inheritance shall be fully delivered in Jesus’ name! This month, we will be examining The Need for Personal Development.
What is development? Development has to do with growth and progress. So, as a youth who aspires to make it in life, you must be ready to take responsibility by accepting personal development. Therefore, youths who do not take personal responsibility might end their lives in frustration. That will not be your case in Jesus’ name!
So many youths are living an unfulfilled life today, not because there is a “strong” devil somewhere, but because they refuse to develop themselves. So, they kept passing the blame on people and situations.
However, as a believer, God has ordained you to be a pacesetter. But if you refuse to develop yourself, you will remain in the same spot in life. The Word says: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house (Matthew 5:14-15).
The Bible says that you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. But is this really reflecting in your life as a youth?
Reasons some Youth do not make Progress:
Holding on to the Past: Thereason some youths do not make progress is that they are hanging onto their past. He says proudly, “You know I had ten A’s in my school certificate examination.” That sounds great, but ask him what he is doing now. Yesterday is gone; what are you doing with your today? If you want a future, it is time to leave yesterday alone and handle today effectively.
Living Carelessly: Note that the careless never makes life count. They sit at the same spot and watch life pass them by. But that will no longer be you in Jesus’ name!
Life is an opportunity. A man of God said opportunity (life) is a bald man, who once he passes by you is gone forever because he has no hair on his head with which you can pull him back. Don’t let life pass you by.
However, to grow in life, you need the help of God. So, if you are not born-again, please say this prayer: Dear Lord, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Now, I know I am born again!
Congratulations, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace, in Jesus’ name!
