Let’s BEGIN (Hope you’re exited as I am😁).

This book emphasized on THREE aspects of the Holy Spirit.

First: The holy Spirit in the Old Testament.

Second: The holy Spirit in the New Testament.

Third: The Seal of the Holy Spirit.

Are you ready to dine with me as I give a summarized documentation on this Spirit and Power packed book.

Let’s go:

LEAD #1: The holy Spirit in the Old Testament.

📌 First thing first, its important we know know that the Holy Spirit has ALWAYS BEEN IN EXISTENCE.

🤷🏼‍♀️Permit me to ask you, have you been seeing this phrase in the bible: ‘The Spirit of God’.?

Okay I heard the affirmative answer.

Follow me closely.

What does that phrase means🤔.?

✍🏽Whenever the phrase: ‘The Spirit of God’ is  mentioned, it always refers to ‘The Holy Spirit’. ( Its neither referring to ‘God the father’ nor ‘ Jesus Christ the Son’).

ALL(without exception) the revelations the old and new testament prophets received was given by THIS SAME Holy Spirit being talked about.

Do you know that The Holy Spirit has always been ACTIVE IN REVELATION even BEFORE he made his appearance to the believers in the Upper Room.

I have a question👇🏽:

In which Testament was the name ‘Pharaoh’  relevant in— Was it in the Old or New testament.?

Good, Old Testament. Absolutely correct.

Do you know that Pharaoh who ruled Egypt recognized the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of Joseph in the book of Gen 41:38.

Then Pharaoh said to his officials, “Isn’t this the man we need? Are we going to find anyone else who has God’s spirit in him like this?”

Pharaoh expressively recognised the wisdom, knowledge and supernatural power that was FAR GREATER THAN any human power in the life of Joseph. This Spirit being recognized was ‘The Holy Spirit’.

I’m sure you’re familiar with the name ‘Samson’ in the Old testament.

🤔Can you guess the secret to his power and strength.

Oh, I heard that,  ‘His Hair you said’.

Its amazing to know that His hair was Only  an obedience to God, the Holy Spirit was truly the secret to his power and strength.

Consider these scriptures below👇🏽

Judges14:6(The Message Bible)

The Spirit of God came on him powerfully and he ripped it open barehanded, like tearing a young goat. But he didn’t tell his parents what he had done.

Judges15:14

As he approached Lehi, the Philistines came to meet him, shouting in triumph. And then the Spirit of God came on him with great power. The ropes on his arms fell apart like flax on fire; the thongs slipped

How about Gideon in the Old Testament?

Let’s look at this scripture:

Judges 6:34 (The Message Bible)

God’s Spirit came over Gideon. He blew his ram’s horn trumpet and the Abiezrites came out, ready to follow him.

How about King Saul in the old testament?

Oh, someone just said ‘ How possible! That wicked king, I doubt’.

Ok, I do understand the angle you’re coming from. However its  quite important to know that the Holy Spirit was NOT PERMANENT with Saul, it came AT INTERVALS.

1samuel16:14

At that very moment the Spirit of God ‘left‘ Saul and in its place a black mood sent by God settled on him. He was terrified.

Have you considered David?

It was recorded that God’s spirit was in him while he played his harp for King Saul.

Read 1Samuel 16:18.

LEAD#2: The Holy Spirit in the new Testament.

📌 First thing first, its important we know that the bible IS NOT ‘Two separate books’, they’re ONE Book even though several men were used by the Holy Spirit to write the Bible.

Are you aware that Apostle Paul never met David, neither did he(Apostle Paul) live in the era of Jeremiah. Notwithstanding, when these men spoke and wrote, it was in accord with the others. Have you ever wondered ‘Why it was so?’: Its because the Holy Spirit was the one who walked through EACH of THESE men.

Let’s confirm this in:

2Peter1:21 (The Passions Translation).

No ‘true’ prophecy comes from human initiative but is ‘inspired by the moving of the Holy Spirit’ upon those ‘who spoke’ the message that came from God.

To understand the reality of the Holy Spirit, remember that when Jesus KNEW he was coming in the ‘form of man’ this awareness made him know that he CANNOT DO anything by HIS OWN power. He KNEW he was coming to the devil’s territory.

Jesus KNEW that COMPLETE FAITH in the keeping power  and faithfulness of the Holy Spirit even before his arrival on earth was A MUST.

Why do i feel some people reading this are not cleared. Just be calm, come with me closely as I clearly explain some more.

Let’s go through Mathew 3:16-17 together.

16. And as Jesus rose up out of the water, the heavenly realm opened up over him and he saw the ‘Holy Spirit’ descend out of the heavens and ‘rest upon him’ in the ‘form’ of a dove.
17. Then suddenly the voice of the ‘Father’ shouted from the sky, saying, “This is the Son I love, and my greatest delight is in him.”

This scripture explains to us that ‘God the Father’ was acknowledging how Jesus had offered himself to him through the Holy Spirit (read up Heb 9:14), and the ‘Holy Spirit’ ASSURING Jesus on how he will strengthen him alongside equipping him with power for service.

Hebrews 9:14. (The Message Bible)

Think how much more the blood of Christ cleans up our whole lives, inside and out. ‘Through the Spirit’, Christ ‘offered himself’ as an unblemished sacrifice, freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable, so that we can live all out for God.

All the healings and miracles he did WAS NOT DONE on his own power. Let’s read together.

Acts10:38 ( The Passions Translation’

Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God ‘with the Holy Spirit’ and with ‘great power’. He did wonderful things for others and divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed him.

Always remember that the Holy Spirit was given to believers for ONE PURPOSE: ‘Witness and Service’💪🏽.

You who is soliloquising saying: ‘I need this Holy Spirit’.

I’m joyful to hear your thoughts. Here’s what you should do: ‘Turn yourself and all you have over to Jesus’. Remember where there’s an ‘unsurrendered self’, it will be inpossible to love and walk fully.

But why my ‘ALL’ you may ask,  its simply because between you and Jesus, there CAN’T be love without ‘AN INWARD’ self surrender.

Are you aware that ‘The In-filling of the Holy Spirit’ isn’t received by faith but by SURRENDER.

Acts 2:38 KJV

KJV:Then Peter said unto them, ‘Repent’, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the ‘remission’ of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Never discredit the manifestation of the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit because its the greatest force in the world.

How surprising it is when people mock the Holy Spirit. Please don’t join them.

There’s a sin which there’s no forgiveness in this life and the life to come, and that is ‘ Sin against the Holy Spirit’

Matthew 12:31-32 ( The Passions Translation)

This is why I warn you, for God will forgive people for every sin and blasphemy they have committed except one. There is no forgiveness for the sin of blasphemy ‘against’ the Holy Spirit.

32 If anyone speaks evil of me, the Son of Man, he can be forgiven; but if anyone contemptuously speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will never be forgiven, now or ever!”

LEAD #3: The Seal of the Holy Spirit.

📌 First thing first, know that every human being in the ‘mind of God’ was predestined to be born again. Eph1:3-14 explains it better.

Someone just asked saying: ‘then why did he create hell for us’. Ok know that Hell was made for fallen angels, never was it made for humanity, mankind. Its never God’s will that we should be a sinner, or to go to hell.

You and I were created with FREE moral agency. Do you know that its by choice that I am a Christian, the same is applicable to you, if you are too.

That exact moment you accepted what Jesus did for you was the same time the Holy Spirit placed HIS SEAL on you CONFIRMING the transaction.

The Holy Spirit bears witness with our Spirit that we have passed from death unto life.

🤷🏼‍♀️ Are you aware of the sensitivity of the Holy Spirit? Why do you think he was likened to a dove, the ‘gentlest’ of all birds.

That’s why it’s written that the Holy Spirit can be grieved and we are advised NOT TO grieve him.

When you read Ephesians 4:26-32, pay attention to verse32, its simply saying that anything we do contrary to that verse will grieve the Holy Spirit.
