TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Morn: Ps 34, 35; Even: Acts 22
TOPIC: FOLLOW GOD
TEXT: “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4 :19.
God is a maker of men, but only men who have made up their minds to follow Him.
The church is full of multitudes, God seeks disciples who are followers indeed so He can beautify their lives as His sons and daughters ought to be. He is a God of process and principles.
His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither His ways our ways.
They are higher as the heavens are higher than the earth.
(Isaiah 55 :8 – 9). So any child of God who desires God to make Him on earth and then make heaven, should be prepared to follow God.
It is only when you follow God that you become like him and manifest your sonship. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8 :14).
And only sons manifest. “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Romans 8 :19.
That means, if you do not follow, you will not be led, if you are not led, you are not a son, and if you are not a son. you cannot manifest your sonship and glorify God.
Child of God, enough of instability in your walk with God. If you are a Christian, follow God; yield yourself to Him. There is no selective obedience in followership.
When you settle with God and follow Him unreservedly, He is bound to make you the envy of the world. There are outstanding personalities in the kingdom that you always wish to be like, it is because they followed God and are still following Him.
Why not make up your mind to also follow and let God make you?

My Father, my Maker, as I pray now, help me Lord to follow you in Jesus name.
