RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, SUNDAY, 1ST DECEMBER 2019 – THE POWER OF SACRIFICE.

SUNDAY, 1ST DECEMBER 2019.
BIBLE READING: MORNING: EZEKIEL 45,46. EVENING: 2 PETER 3.
TOPIC: THE POWER OF SACRIFICE.
TEXT: ” Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.” Nehemiah 2:2-4.
When you study the book of Nehemiah chapter two from verse one, you will discover that Nehemiah was not just working in the palace but in the kitchen department. And the kitchen is a department that your stomach does not lack food; abundance of food is always there but Nehemiah gave it up for his assignment as soon as the king granted his request. The height of sacrifice is giving up today and not bothering about tomorrow. Nehemiah was dissatisfied not because of hunger but for the passion of his assignment. He left the palace he was sure of into a destiny he was not sure of and that’s Sacrifice.
There is power in sacrifice. The very week my wife gave a sacrificial seed after our weeding, that same month our first daughter came? She got pregnant under pressure and ever since then, it has been an amazing fruitfulness.
Check out any man who is shaking his generation, affecting his world, taking his nation by storm, breaking protocol, taking territories etc., at the foundation of his life is uncommon sacrifice. You can pave your way to the top also by engaging the powerful tool of sacrifice. God is ever faithful.
PRAYER:
My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, let the power to sacrifice be activated in my life.
