DON’T SETTLE FOR LESS

“God saw all that he had made – and it was very good! There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day”. Genesis 1:31 (NET)

As the year rolls to an end, it is important to challenge yourself and not settle for less. The Bible tells us from the beginning of the creation that God made man in His own image and likeness. We are made in the image of God. And we are made in His likeness. In other words, we are like God. We are not ordinary because we are empowered to have dominion.

In Genesis 1:28, God blessed man. The word blessed means empowered to succeed. You are empowered to succeed. That is God’s intention and He never planned to reverse it. “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call].” (Romans 11:29 AMP) When God makes a promise, He stands by it. That is what makes Him God.

Child of God, I want you to know that you are born to be fruitful; multiply, replenish the earth, subdue the earth, and exercise dominion. You are born to be in control. You are born to take charge of your situation and to stand on top of challenges. You are born to stand tall amid problems. That is God’s intention and purpose. By the time God finished creation, He looked at it and said this is good. When He finally made man, He said, this is very good.

In Genesis chapter 2, God prepared the garden for man and streams were flowing from that garden. Then God came to the same man He made and said, it is not good for man to be alone. In other words, I made this, and since it doesn’t look like what I want, I will make a help meet for him. Our God is a maker. If it is not good, He can make it again. He can change it and make it the way He wants. Therefore, you must never settle for less than what God has made you.
