Covenant’s drive for quality research has been rewarded by her leadership in Multidisciplinary research in Nigeria, according to the latest SciVal report.
The report revealed that Covenant topped the list of all the higher institutions in Nigeria with 162 scholarly publications, followed by the University of Ibadan and Ahmadu Bello University with 53 and 37 publications respectively. The result, which spanned from 2013 to 2018, set Covenant way ahead of her counterparts. The 162 publications from Covenant were generated by 258 authors and they also attracted a total of 437 citations.
Again, the top 500 authors in Multidisciplinary research in Nigeria were evaluated and Covenant dominated the list, as 17 out of the first 20 authors came from the University. In fact, Covenant occupied the first 10 positions without an intermission. This attests to the high-level research culture in Covenant, a university poised to become one of the leading universities in the world.
