Today the Lagos Church is a phenomenon, an enigma, a wonder 10 the world! But not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit of God leading the way and executing the plan and purpose of God before our very eyes -Zec. 4:1-6/Isa 45:1-3/Jhn. 16:12-14
Following whatever God commanded, has brought us this far, as a Church and is sure to keep us going till Jesus comes-Heb.3:1-4
The story of this Church is not a show of strength, skill, or experience but simply God at work in the midst of His people, as we keep following what He commands to do, “for by strength or skill, shall no man prevail”-1 Sam. 2:9/Ecc.9:11/Psa. 127:1-2
We have experienced growth and expansion in strange dimensions because Christ the master-builder is at work in our midst Mat. 16:18/Psa. 127:1-2
This is our story as a Church, and this is our song as a Commission, all to the glory of God! Rom. 9:16/1 Kgs. 8:15/Isa. 14:24-27
The following Prophetic pointers validate the One Central Church Status of the Faith Tabernacle:
1. It is important to understand that things are working here because God commanded that this Church move to this ‘forest. I remember how I reacted sharply on the way, the first time I was brought here, ascertain authoritatively, “this cannot never be the place”. However, on arrival, I said, ‘let us pray and there and then God said ‘this is the place’. See how we have continued to flourish as a Church, in spite of how ‘offside’ this place appeared. Everything in the natural was against this place as a One Central Church for a city as vast as Lagos but see what God has done today. His ways are indeed the highways of life – Lam. 3:37/ Isa. 55:8-9 (January 1997)
2. Later that year, God said to me, “as you Pastor this one Church, the World will become your Parish, for I have appointed to serve your generation” – July 6, 1997
✓ Today, the sound of the Gospel from this ‘forest;’ resonant across the nations of the earth, with people from more than 150 nations connecting to the services from this altar every week.
3. God further said, “Stay over this Church with me, as we begin to reap the overripe harvest of the World together” -July 6, 1997
✓ Today, as we make altar calls for salvation from the Faith Tabernacle, there areresponses from several nations of the world to the glory of God! 4. God again said, “Don’t you toy with this
pulpit, it is a factor for a Worldwide awakening”-July 15, 1997
Today, a number of people including Pastors from the various testimonies received, take fire from this altar, resulting in diverse impacts in their various ministries and churches, and to God alone be all the glory!
> Therefore, we are not running a one central Church as a show of strength or pride but simply an obedience of Faith to what is commanded.
As we all know, God does not bless the
proud, He resists their way forward, but He gives more grace to the humble -1 Pet. 5:6
God is blessing this Church because we are operating as commanded and not as
convenient Deut 28:1-13
Furthermore, remember, God did not only ask Abraham to offer a sacrifice, but he showed him where to offer it, and Abraham went out 3 days in search of the place, and that was where he came under a sworn blessing that covers his generations after him Gen.22:1-5/15-18
Everyone of us is required to be sensitive to where God has chosen for our place of Worship and abide there, as it is written, “Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest: But in the place which theLORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee-Deut. 12:13-14
✓ God has an appointed place of worship for His people, where they become unmovable, unshakable and un- assaultable by all the force of the wicked -2 Sam. 7:10
✓ This is why every child of God should jealously guard his/her God-chosen city of refuge so as to escape the assault of the wicked one- Num. 35:15-24/25-28
Therefore, if God has chosen this place, as your place of Worship, settle down here, enjoy the long trips, so as to continue to flourish like the palm tree, and keep scaling new heights like the cedar in Lebanon – Psa. 92:12-14
Finally, we are all admonished to take a strong position on whatever God commands to do from henceforth and not just what is convenient, we must beware of selling our birthright for a morsel of meat -Heb. 12:1-2/16
Again, welcome to year 2023, your year of cruising on the fast lane of the covenant highways of life in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
