Today marks the 28th day since the “Stay home” order took effect. A lot of money has been spent on family upkeep, provisions, bills. Some people are not with their family, yet send certain amounts every week to make sure that they are well fed regardless. Some others have given to people out of charity and help for their fellow human beings. Some churches have given to the needy since this pandemic broke out. At this moment, many don’t have a lot of money left. There is no guarantee even, that some would return to their jobs.
It is natural to complain at this stage. Grumble. Mummur and get bitter. But, the question is. Does it make it any better? As Christians, it is imperative to remind ourselves that our source isn’t on this Earth but in Heaven. In God’s own hands.
So, what do we do?
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.(Phillipians 4:6)
Giving thanks to God for the plenty you had. The little you have now is a great principle for multiplication in the Kingdom! I have done this countless times and I have seen God do wonders to my pocket! Give thanks! Give thanks! Your source is Jesus. Not your job. He is the one who has sustained you for so long. Give thanks and watch your account multiply!
