TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Amos 1 – 3
TOPIC: WHERE IS YOUR FIRST LOVE? 5.
TEXT: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24 :12.

Today, many come late to church services for one flimsy reason or the other. Some sit comfortably in a church hall that may not have been swept, under the guise of allowing the cleaner do their jobs.
When you lose your first love, you become carnally minded.
Your spirituality begins to die. Paul exhorts in Romans 8 :5, “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the spirit.
Any individual whose love for God has waxed cold would seek after the things of the flesh and have more concern for carnal things than for coming early to the church service or prefer to spend money buying expensive clothes, shoes and perfumes rather than to give quality offerings to the Lord.
The Bible says, “For to be carnally minded is death” (Romans 8 :6).
On the last day, you would have no excuse to give as to why you lost your first love.
Repent now, and be restored to your first love for you know not when the Lord shall come, neither do you know when death shall come knocking.
Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, why not open for Him. “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” ( Revelation 3 :20).
May this not stand against you on the day of judgement, in Jesus Name. Amen.
