TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 10 – 12.
TOPIC: LET THEM CLEAVE TO EACH OTHER.
TEXT: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Genesis 2 :24.
In the world today, I have discovered that there are many people who make themselves the third voice in the marriages of others because they are relatives of either of the spouse and feel they own a stake in him/her while they themselves are in their own marriages while the unmarried ones, wish to cleave with their spouse when married.
If you are among this class of people fueling strife between couples in the name of being a sister -in-law, father-in-law, mother-in-law e.t.c. please repent and turn a new leaf today.
Allow your son to cleave to his wife; allow your brother to cleave to his wife; allow your daughter to cleave to her husband.
This is God’s counsel for marriages. Since they have come into the holy matrimony called marriage, please let them cleave to each other, otherwise you have God the institutor of marriage to contend with, and no one can strife with his maker and survives.
Stop being angry when your son does not always call you as he used to, when he was much younger, why don’t you rather celebrate the fact that he is becoming more matured as a man in handling his responsibilities.
If you have brought him up with the Word of God and did teach him, on how to love his wife and provide for her, why go against such teachings now because he did not marry your choice of wife for him?
Listen, God will never allow your labour on your son or daughter to be in vain. Love the couple from your heart because they are one and you will have both as your children.
PRAYER.My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, I receive grace to let others cleave in their marriages. In JESUS Name.
