I watched a video of the just concluded MEGACON (Mega Convention), hosted by Church of God Mission International in the International Headquarters in Benin where Bishop David Oyedepo was one of the speakers.
While Archbishop Dr. Mrs. Magaret Benson Idahosa introduced Bishop Oyedepo, she said the following glowing things about him:
1. Bishop is a son I love and I am proud of.
2. I called him not too long ago and asked that he should come and speak in two sessions during MEGACON and he replied I will do anything you want mum.
3. Without any hesitation, he accepted the invitation right away and he is here with us.
4. When I arrived from USA to attend this program, he told me mum, I don’t want you to be stressed, I will send our jet to take you from Lagos to Benin.
5. When my husband died and the University just started, Bishop Oyedepo paid staff salaries for 2 years to ensure the University was stable.
6. He was visiting the University monthly for 2 years.
7. He gives heavily to this ministry every month.
LESSONS I HAVE LEARNT
* A son abides forever.
* Honour is more of works than words.
* A true son promotes the interest of his father.
* A true son is praised openly by his parents.
* A true son is at the beck and call of his parents.
* Honour involves substance.
* Honour must cost you something.
* Honour is the seed of lasting greatness.
Conclusively:
Bishop David Oyedepo truly understands the principle of honour and has made that his lifestyle.
