Dr. Mark’s journey began with a strong educational foundation. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the prestigious Edo State University, Ekpoma (now known as Ambrose Alli University) in 1997. His thirst for knowledge led him to further his education at the University of Calabar, Cross-River, where he secured an MBA in 2002.

Dr. Mark embarked on his professional journey in the year 2000 when he assumed the role of Finance Manager at Rail Ad Limited. His commitment and dedication paved the way for subsequent achievements in the corporate world.
In 2005, he entered the aviation sector by joining Virgin Nigeria Airlines. His stellar performance and leadership abilities were quickly recognized, propelling him to the position of Head of Treasury. As the Head of Treasury, Dr. Mark introduced and executed effective cost management strategies that contributed to a remarkable 5% Month on Month reduction in aircraft maintenance costs.
Dr. Mark then transitioned to the Oil & Gas sector, taking on the role of Group Head, Finance and Admin at Advantium Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited in 2009. Here, he played a pivotal role in reducing tax and administrative costs by an impressive 14% and also spearheaded efforts that raised $170,000 through business development initiatives.
In 2012, he ventured into the healthcare sector, joining Hygiea Nigeria Limited (Lagoon Hospital) as Chief Accountant. His proficiency and dedication eventually led him to the position of Financial Controller, where he managed treasury and investment operations, ensuring investor satisfaction.

Dr. Mark Akhabue’s vast experience in multiple sectors significantly influenced his business interests in Retail, Petroleum Downstream, and Bureau De Change. In 2016, he decided to shift his focus from full-time employment to oversee Jendol Petroleum and initiate the launch of Jendol Superstores. Jendol Superstores has since flourished, growing from its initial startup capital by over 5,000% in value over the last six years, employing over 950 people, and operating eight grocery stores on a cumulative land size of approximately 25,000 sqm.
Dr. Mark’s entrepreneurial acumen has had a substantial impact on the Nigerian economy. The company’s continued expansion is expected to increase its staff size to over 1,100 employees, with further projections of over 5,000 human resources in the next decade.
