You are Created to be Fruitful – 1

Dear Reader,

Welcome to this great month of October, where God will take away every shame and reproach from you and your family and give you glory and beauty in Jesus’ name! This month, we shall be exploring You Are Created to be Fruitful.

At creation, after God created Adam and Eve, He said to them, … Be fruitful, and multiply … This explains that fruitful activity multiplies or adds to what is already existing. This expresses God’s interest in you having children. So, if you are experiencing anything contrary, it is not God, so you need to know God’s provision for your fruitfulness in marriage to combat the enemy.

The Word God says: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis 1:28). Therefore, our fruitfulness is not an admonition but a commandment. Never mind whatever contrary report you may be holding in your hand now. Remember, everything God said at creation came to be. So, it is impossible for what God has said concerning you and your home to fail. Only the counsel of the Lord stands forever. The Word says The counsel of the Lord standeth forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations (Psalm 33:11).

When He said to you, “Be fruitful!” you must be fruitful. It is a commandment from God. The same God who said let there be light, and it was so, is the same ONE who gave the fruitfulness commandment. Have you ever considered that if God wanted, He could have created more people to fill the whole earth just the way He created Adam? God is the all-powerful and the Omnipotent. He can do just anything, but He gave man the assignment of procreation. As the all-wise God, He knows what He is doing. If He didn’t put the power to conceive and bring forth, He wouldn’t be asking us to do it.

Therefore, for every man and woman who have come together in holy wedlock, the injunction of your Creator is to “be fruitful.” If there is anything short of this, it is not God. He can never change His Word.  The Word say: I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him(Ecclesiastes 3:14).

So, since God has commanded you to be fruitful, no blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, or any contrary conditions can stop the Word of God from coming to reality in your marriage. Barrenness is not of God and should not be seen as a lesson or punishment from God. God tempts no man with evil. If there is anything like that, it is of the devil. Remember, the devil is the thief who has come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10).

If you are married and reading this article and you are expecting the fruit of the womb, know that God is very interested in your fruitfulness. For instance, if you have been married for a few years, and you are running out of patience with God, or maybe there are even some mockers around you saying to your hearing that you are papa or mama “nobody,” rejoice and be glad. Why? The will of your heavenly Father is that you are fruitful, and the Word of God says, For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly(Psalm 84:11).God will not ask you to come back tomorrow for this good thing; He will give it to you right away. It is in His power to give you, and He will surely give it to you NOW!

God has made known His will to you. Who can debar Him from doing His will? Who can turn His hand back? What kind of medical report can annul what the Almighty Himself says? Whose report will you then believe? Relax and stop panicking or running helter-skelter. Stop cursing and abusing your mockers. Stop spending your fortune looking for man-made and other god-given children. Stop frustrating your life. Be at peace with yourself and your God, and let His Word come to pass in your life. The Word says, Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalms 127:3). As long as you are a child of God, you are entitled to the blessing of children. No matter what the doctors have diagnosed as being responsible, God is greater than man’s report. Below is a testimony of a miracle baby despite all odds.

I got married in April 1998 and expected to have my baby immediately, but nothing happened. I went to the hospital after I lost a pregnancy, and the doctor told me I had fibroid and needed to go for an operation. I went for the operation, after which I could get pregnant.

But I didn’t believe the doctor’s report. Instead, I started praising God and forgot about the report. During the Victory Celebration in 1998, Bishop David Oyedepo made declarations, and he said that those trusting God for the fruit of the womb would get pregnant. Meanwhile, my period had always been 21 days and came with a heavy flow. But my period started on the first day of the Victory Celebration, and the flow was reduced, and soon, it became normal. In December, I discovered I was pregnant. On 17th September 1999, my baby was one month old. I give God the glory! – Adegbeli F. (Mrs.)

However, to enjoy the gift of fruitfulness, you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. So, if you are not born-again, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born-again.

Congratulations! You are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace, in Jesus’ name!
