WALK IN SUBMISSION

In our Focal Scripture, the Angel of the Lord instructed Hagar to return to her mistress and submit herself under her mistress. Hagar had despised her mistress and was thrown out of Abram’s home; but when she would encounter the Angel of the Lord, she was instructed to return to her mistress and submit herself to her. She was instructed to be in submission to her mistress. El Roi commanded her to be in submission.

Friend, hear the counsel of the Lord: in 2024, be in submission. Submit yourself under the mighty hands of the Lord. Submit yourself under the leadership that God has placed above you. Submit yourself under the people that God would have you be accountable to. Submit yourself to the people whom God has placed ahead of you. Submit yourself under the destiny midwives that God has placed in your life. Be in submission in 2024.

To submit is to be accountable, and to be under supervision. In 2024 and beyond, be under supervision. Be accountable. Be under someone who can call you to order. Be in submission under those the Lord has assigned your destiny to. Let heaven direct you on the matter of submission, and who you should submit to. Ultimately, be in submission under the mighty hands of God. Be in submission under those that bear rule over you.

Hagar had conceived and was on the verge of having a child. She certainly was better off in the home of Abram, rather than in the desert, and the Angel of the Lord instructed her to go back and be under Sarai. Sometimes, your being in submission is for the sake of what is about to be birthed through you. Even when you are a carrier of divine seed that must be birthed, be careful to remain under submission. Be accountable.

Sarai already treated Hagar harshly, but the Angel of the Lord still commanded Hagar to submit to Sarai. Heaven requires that you remain under authority, and be accountable, even when that authority does not appear friendly or favourable. Choose submission. Choose accountability.
