Prayer and fasting was designed to take delivery of the things we see and read in the word of God. A person who understands the doctrine of the word of faith and applies the principle during a fast will release the power of God at its highest levels.

Daniel applied prayer and fasting to take delivery of the things written in Scripture. Ezra also applied prayer and fasting to take delivery of the promises of God he had been confessing before men.
