-Gospel Songs Will Make The World Boring – Laolu Gbenjo Shares
Gospel artiste, Laolu Gbenjo, has hinted that having everyone to sing gospel songs, will eventually make the world boring.
According to the artiste, he shared that we don’t need only gospel songs, and there must be diversity in the music field.
During an interview with Channels TV, Laolu emphasized the importance and necessity of different genres of music, giving examples of how different occasions call for different types of songs, such as love songs for weddings and celebration praise for joyful events.
“We have to be sincere to ourselves, if everybody sings gospel, the world will be boring. That’s the truth. If anyone is getting married, you don’t expect me to sing gospel all through, there are love songs and celebration praise. It’s just a celebration,” he said.
The gospel star, also shared how that during COVID-19 lockdown, he was inspired to come up with a new style of music that birthed the “Alujo Special.”
He also noted that during the lockdown period, he sang for who would send in their photos, creating personalized songs in his studio.
Gbenjo also credited his father, who was a pastor, for influencing his music career.
“I started singing because my father was a pastor,” he said.
