Beware of sin, it is never your friend but your enemy
Sin cuts short glory. Romans 3:23.
Sin brings shame and sends man into hiding. Genesis 3:10, 23, 24.
Walking towards sin is walking away from glory and walking away from sin is walking back into glory.
It is linear traffic.
As man sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, he turned his back to glory and faced the wilderness.
Similarly, when he returned and faced the glory, he turned his back to the wilderness.
Just a U-turn is all it takes.
When the prodigal son faced the world, he walked away from glory, and on his way returning home, the glory was there to embrace him. Luke 15:11-24.
Maintaining righteousness is the only way to secure and maintain the glory.
