BIBLE READING: ISAIAH 22-24.
TOPIC: END OF EVIL COUNSEL.
TEXT: “The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.” Psalms 33:10.
An evil counsel is any advise, guidance, direction or instruction given that is contrary to God’s word and destiny for his children. There are counsellors springing up every day even in the household of faith; many who are not grounded in the Word of God but they give counsels on matters, they have no understanding of, while there are others who take counsel to do you harm or subvert your destiny. Their devices shall be of no effect, for as long as you are standing on the counsel of the Lord, their devices shall come to naught.
The counsel of Ahithophel to Absalom was seemingly a wise counsel but it was a counsel of conspiracy and rebellion. He was using his wisdom in a wrong course against the Lord’s anointed and David response was amazing, when he heard that Ahithophel was among the conspiracy.
With the understanding of what God does to the counsel of the wicked, he prayed, O Lord, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.” 2 Samuel 15:31. And God granted him his request and Absalom rejected his counsel, and Ahithophel went and hung himself.
The Bible says, “Take counsel together, and it shall come to naught; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.” Isaiah 8:10. Therefore irrespective of their number, as long as it is against your wellbeing, it shall come to naught.
God is so committed to your good.

My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, every evil counsel against my destiny turn to naught by fire.
