RHEMA FOR LIVING, OFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE – LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN BOOSTERS OF DIVINE GRACE

RHEMA FOR LIVING, OFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD’S ANOINTED SERVANT
THE DYNAMIC MOTHER.
REV (DR) LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN
TODAY THURSDAY 7TH, MAY 2020.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psa 19 – 21.

TOPIC: BOOSTERS OF DIVINE GRACE.

TEXT: “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5 :5.

A booster is a thing that helps, encourages or improves somebody or something. A number of things increase God’s grace in us.
We shall look at one of them today;
Humility:

Humility is not putting on a pretentious look of being pious but at the slightest provocation, you rain down hurting words on whoever. It is not calling God and the elderly ones respectful names and titles yet your words, actions and dispositions towards God and them are disrespectful.

Humility is the quality of not being proud, arrogant or thinking highly of yourself above others or the feeling that you are better than them.
Humility is seeing life and all that God has endowed you with or given you as a privilege and with that consciousness giving glory always to God.

This helps you pattern your attitude towards others correctly in giving them their due respect, easily accepting your wrong when you hurt them and be open to learning in life in order to enjoy more grace.

There are too many arrogant believers in church speaking in tongues but barricading grace with their arrogance.
Just a little achievement and manifestation, they raise their shoulders high in pride equating themselves with those who have gone ahead of them whom they should be drawing wisdom from. They forget that consistency in the race of life wins the race.

They would have been soaring in grace but they are still crawling because of a lack of humility, which causes unnecessary delays in their endeavors.
I pray for you, you will not lack grace because of pride.

                PRAYER.

My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, every root of pride in me, die by fire.
