BIBLE READING: MORNING: NAHUM. EVENING REVELATION 13.
TOPIC: OPPOSITION BIRTHS OPPORTUNITY.
TEXT: “And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” Genesis 26:22.
Beloved, great breakthroughs are usually encountered during seasons of difficulty. For better understanding read Genesis 26:17-25. Those who become wonders to the world in the Bible were people who rose up in the terms of challenges. Joseph was an answer to the crisis of famine in Egypt and that marked the end of his challenges (Genesis 41) . Isaac secured his greatest breakthrough when there was a serious opposition around him (Genesis 26).
There was a great opposition against Jephthah from his brothers because he was the son of a harlot. They denied him his portion of inheritance even as the first son and thrust him out of his father’s house, but he never gave up on himself. Rather, he saw an opportunity to develop himself into what the elders of the land would need in future in delivering the land from the hands of their oppressors (Judges 11).
From the above, we could see that opposition brought these people out of their obscured places. The challenges that oppose our comfort carry opportunities for breakthroughs in them if we do not give up. Oppositions are not entirely bad, they are meant to prepare us and bring us to limelight.
PRAYER:
Lord, help me not to give up on myself in the face of challenges that are meant to showcase me in Jesus name.
