RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE – APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN – NOT FORGOTTEN (PART 3).
WEDNESDAY, 25TH MARCH 2020.
BIBLE READING: DEUTERONOMY 29-31.
TOPIC: NOT FORGOTTEN (PART 3).
TEXT: “On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the King’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the King’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.” Esther 6:1-3.
Mordecai saved the life of the King Ahasuerus by exposing the plotters after the King's life and it was documented in the book of records yet he was forgotten because the book was closed and never read.
Have you had situation in your life when you would have been elevated or promoted but yet, you remained where you are were like Mordecai at the gate? There must have been circumstances in your life where people though that you were enjoying so many privileges and benefits whereas, in reality, you were not.
Listen, the situation of Mordecai would have gone on continuously if they had not looked beyond the physical and handled the issue spiritually. When they engaged the force of praying and fasting, the Bible records that in that night, the King could not sleep and he opened the book. They prayed and fasted before Esther went into the king to handle the horn called Haman who was against the lifting up of the head of Mordecai and the entire Jews (Zechariah 1:21).
I pray for you today that as Haman gave way for Mordecai to be elevated, so every enemy of your being remembered, would give way by fire.
My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, every enemy against my remembrance, give way by fire.
