RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD’S ORACLE APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN.
FRIDAY, 22ND NOVEMBER 2019.
BIBLE READING: MORNING: EZEKIEL 27,28. EVENING: JAMES 4.
TOPIC: ARE YOU A BUILDER? (PART 2).
TEXT: “And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.” Nehemiah 1:3-4.
Nehemiah’s success is based on the following reasons:
1. He prayerfully mobilized and motivated a willing team for the assignment.
2. He developed strategic plains for success.
3. He communicated his vision to the team in an inspiring and compelling way.
4. He mobilized his team with the required resources. Nehemiah accomplished all his plans because he was determined, courageous and above all, made God centre of his life mission unlike so many people today who want the centre point of focus to be themselves.
Lessons to learn from Nehemiah’s leadership style.
i. In your commitment to God’s work, you will face serious opposition both physical and spiritual.
ii. Stand firm and be determined to succeed in your assignments no matter the odds.
iii. Put God at the centre of your plans and hold unto Him always.
We are all called to be builders but you can end up a destroyer if you keep looking at people’s fault with a judgmental approach and thereby engage in character defamation; malice and fuelling troubles.
PRAYER:
My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, I ask for grace to be a builder in Your kingdom
