BIBLE READING: EXODUS 11:13.
TOPIC: THE STRENGTH OF THE CHURCH.
TEXT: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:19.
The strength of the church cannot be tied to many other things that may be running through your mind presently, instead the major strength of the church is unity. When we are of one mind, we can achieve great things. When we are of one mind, there is nothing that we imagine to do which we cannot achieve in God’s master plan. In Genesis 11:1-6, the oneness of the people made them to construct the tower of Babel, such that God had to confound their language and scatter them abroad because their intention was against His master plan but was succeeding because of their unity.
Everything about the church is centered on building. Any contrary step, utterance against the building of the church is from the gates of hell. In whatever service unit you are in church, ensure that you are operating with the same spirit and mind of the vision of the church. When we pray and fast in unity, we make tremendous power available! Whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth is loosed (Matthew 16:19). In corporate prayer, unity is a necessity. The disciples of Jesus were in one accord in the upper room and something outstanding took place in Acts 2. When we do same, glorious things are bound to happen.
PRAYER:
My Father, My Maker, as I pray now, let the spirit of unity overwhelm me by fire.
