RHEMA FOR LIVING DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD’S ORACLE APOSTLE (PROF) JOHNSON SULEMAN.
MONDAY 29TH JULY 2019.
BIBLE READING : MORNING : PSALMS 56,57,58, ACTS 28:1-15.
TOPIC : EXAMINE YOURSELF

TEXT :”Examine yourself to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you – unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Cor.13:5.

From time to time, you need to examine yourself whether you are still in faith. Familiarity with things of God kills one’s fear for the things of God. There are some activities in the household of God which can even take you out of faith unknown to you. Examine yourself with the searchlight of the Spirit of God and retrace your steps. You need discipline to put yourself in check. Paul said, “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” 1 Corinthians 9:27.

You need to therefore sit with yourself and examine yourself, do a self-appraisal and tame what needs to be tamed and rekindle what needs to be rekindled. When you were new in faith, you arrive early to His presence, you participate in praise and worship, you take down notes when the word of God is on, your conscience pricks you when you do certain things not in line with the word of God. But now, you have grown tough skin, you carry on discussion during prayer sessions, praise and worship. You esteem chatting group meetings above His presence. One question you should ask yourself is; if the trumpet sounds at this time, am I rapturable?
Child of God, examine yourself whether you are in faith so that restoration can take place now. May the Lord release grace to stand firm unto you.

PRAYER
O God my Father, as I pray, help me to retrace my steps back to you.
