I have fought the good (worthy, honorable, and noble) fight, I have finished the race, I have kept (firmly held) the faith. [As to what remains] henceforth there is laid up for me the [victor’s] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that [great] day—and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved and yearned for and welcomed His appearing (His return) 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
The above passage from the Bible is Paul’s message to Timothy as a charge to show in any situation life or death there’s more to gain in Christ. Little wonder prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua who is now with the Lord had earlier said in a meeting “that there is time for everything, time to come prayers, time to return home after service”
Indeed prophet T.B Joshua has come home after finishing his service. He would have been 58 on the 12th of June 2021 but it pleases Jehovah Nissi to call him home amidst surprise or shock from a cross-section of adherents and other well-wishers worldwide.
Prophet Joshua who led the synagogue church of all nations (SCOAN) was not just a preacher or evangelist for Christ but Also a social welfarist who believes in carrying the weak along. The likes of Ogenyi Onazi would always be thankful and indebted to him for providing a platform such as my people’s FC through which Onazi sprang from to become a Nigerian football superstar.
There’s no need for people to begin to wail and mourn the death of this God’s general as he is now at a place of eternal rest and peace echoing what song writer Jim Reeves says “this world isn’t our home we are just passing through waiting to tap out treasures laid up there”
Although, some persons have some controversial take on this great man of God. Nevertheless, Christ wasn’t without a blemish according to human judgment while on Earth so that of Prophet T.B Joshua shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.
prophet Joshua was able to fulfill the great commandment which says “Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be). Matthew 28:19-20.
Prophet Joshua will always remain in our hearts and is not forgotten despite not being with us physically anymore.
