– Dunamis Church Collapse: Pastor Paul Enenche Visits Scene
The Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church International, Pastor Paul Enenche visited the scene of the collapsed mission ward branch of Dunamis Church International in Makurdi and praised God saying that the tragedy could have been worse.
It may be recalled that the church building collapsed at around 1 am on Tuesday morning when five pastors of the church were in a vigil prayer session.
The resident pastor of the church, Emmanuel Ahmed, died in the tragedy while four others survived.
The senior pastor who was at the scene with his wife, Becky Enenche, was escorted by church pastors in the surrounding area.
After the briefing, he addressed the gathering of members and sympathizers and said that the situation would have worsened but God averted a major tragedy that was to befall his people.
Pastor Paul Enenche thanked God that the disaster did not happen during the Sunday Church Service or the church seven hours programme, neither was it during the Independence Day Service.
“So we thank God that it did not happen when the church was full.
“But I assure you that trouble will not arise again.” He urged the people to remain strong in Christ and not lose heart.
He said that normally the church applies due diligence when erecting its structures and assured that the church will move forward.
