Operating in the Supernatural By Bishop David Oyedepo (Part 1A) 01|09|2024

Pre-message

Pray a prayer of discernment because when answered, it marks the end of all frustrations, failures, and uncertainties.

Prayer: Lord, open my eyes to the wonders embedded in your Word to access the realm of wonders in redemption.

“Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.”  Psalm 119:18.

Every child of God is redeemed as a wonder to his world; you have been redeemed as a sign to your world. New birth is the beginning of God’s family on earth and when you are saved, you become a part of that family.

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”  Isaiah 7:14.

Spiritual training is profitable unto all things and is required to step into the supernatural. No one can operate in the realm of the supernatural without being trained.

“He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.”  Psalms 18:33.

You need to subscribe to the demands of training to gain command and to have an increasing dimension in the supernatural. Training is a fundamental part of the Abrahamic covenant to which you belong by redemption.

The more of the reality of the supernatural you discover, the greater command you gain. God’s Word is the principal resource through which you develop the spiritual capacity to gain command of the supernatural.

It is by the Word that you develop the required skill and engage with the whole armor of God. You cannot sustain the supernatural life without training up and being current in the Word. As a child of God, you should command the miraculous, and not beg for it. You need the rod of the Word of God to command signs.

Train up in the Word to gain command of the supernatural!

Nothing validates redemption like the supernatural. Without the supernatural, Christianity is like a mere religion. The most taunting revelation of the powers of darkness is your access to the reality of your sonship in Christ.

“They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.”  John 18:5.

“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”  Psalms 82:6.

How to Begin Our Journey in the Supernatural

1. Be born again with the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in your life.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,”   Galatians 5:22.

You can’t appropriate salvation because it is not an ideology; it is an experience. You need a salvation experience that speaks with love, joy, and peace.

New birth, among other things, transmits eternal life into you as a believer against the ordinary life. “And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.”  Acts 14:11.

New, birth repositions you to be far above all principalities and powers and puts you in charge of the supernatural.

“Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:”   Ephesians 1:21.

“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:6.

Don’t let any devil belittle the gifts you carry; rather, allow God to teach your hands to war and your fingers to fight. You can’t gain command sitting down, you gain command training up.

The supernatural lifestyle is real; train up to operate in it!
