NO REPLACEMENT

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus told the Pharisees that if His disciples fail to praise Him, the stones would immediately cry out. By Jesus’ assertion, there were stones waiting for the disciples to shut up so that they can cry out. There were stones wiling to replace the disciples in the matter of praising Jesus. There were stones waiting to take the place of the disciples. So whereas the disciples were doing what was right, they had replacements.

Friend, it is wisdom to realize that in this life, there are replacements waiting to take your place. If you fail to do what is right by God, and if you fail to do what God expects from you, always remember that there are people who are available to take your place. There are people who may even have more capacity than you have, for those same things you have failed to do willingly and effectively. There are better options available to heaven.

Jesus’ disciples had the wisdom of praising God with a loud voice on account of the mighty works they had seen, but even Jesus Himself announced that their replacements were on standby. Even when you are doing your best, as efficiently as you may be doing it, have it in one corner of your mind that you are not the only one who has capacity to excel or be exceptional. Let the idea of having replacements keep you on your toes.

Don’t wait for stones to arise in your place. Don’t wait for people to arise and do what God called you to do. Don’t make mistakes that will empower other men to arise and do what you were originally ordained to do. Don’t be counted amongst them that cannot be trusted by heaven. Don’t be counted amongst them that heaven needs to keep a spare for. Don’t be counted amongst them that require that ‘stones’ be kept on standby.

I pray for you: may it never be said that stones had to be called upon to cry out in your place. May heaven never need a replacement when you are still alive.
