Senior Pastor of Covenant Christian Centre, Lagos, Pastor Poju Oyemade has encouraged believers to give according to capacity, give what you have and God accepts that he said, it is a season full of opportunities to give and there is no excuse, he insists that nobody should feel helpless because you may not give in a big way.
Pastor Poju wrote this , Do not feel helpless because you may not be able to give in a big way. Many do not give or contribute because they think what they have will not make a difference. Even if it is only one person you can help, it will go a long way. Helping just one person in your network will count big.
Do not fall into the mindset of Andrew who said of the 5 loaves the young lad brought to Jesus, “what are they among so many”. The failure to reach everyone comes not as a result of big givers not donating but the small givers thinking their contribution will not count for much.
This season calls for everyone in whichever way they can to help their “neighbors” who are less powerful. You can only give what you have and God accepts that. Even if it is to check up on the beggar who sits down your street with a meal a day, it will be God in flesh to him.
