Let The Children Flourish. It’s time to let the children flourish, to let them thrive. (Matthew 19:23-15 NLT) One day, some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples called the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, let the children come to me.

Parents who want their children to do well, who want their children to succeed, will look for every healthy avenue for that to happen. Parents, pray over them, connect them to God, and give them quality education as much as you can. These parents seized the moment. They saw an opportunity. Hey, look at the master with his disciples, He’s teaching, he’s doing his work and they went to Him. But the disciples felt it was an interruption. May our children not be interruptions in our lives.

How we see our children will determine how far the society will go. Let the children flourish. The disciples were surprised that Jesus said, leave them alone. Let them come. We are not to look down on our children anymore, whether they are ours, or they belong to other people.

We should give children a premium place in society, priority. And we have seen that, that this is how the master did it. Jesus had no biological children of his own, but he had kindness, love and room to give. Nelson Mandela said there can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than how it treats its children.

How do we treat our children? You’ve seen it, Jesus said it, He modeled it. Look at our schools, look at our facilities. Do they reflect the kindness and the priority that we have given children in the society? The Bible says children are a heritage of the Lord (Psalm 127:3)

Parents, caregivers, teachers, government, religious centers, all of us. Let hands and hearts be on deck. They cannot speak for themselves, and we have to be their voice until they are strong enough to know their left from their right. But above all, let’s connect them to God in a healthy way.
