I AM NOT STANDING ON MY FEET TODAY BY ANY STRENGTH OR SKILL BUT THE GRACE OF GOD – BISHOP OYEDEPO SPEAKS

 

Solomon crashed after 20 years of a quality walk with God, the bible says and Solomon loved the lord, he was God’s darling for 20 years, after 20 years , he derailed ( 1kings chapter 9 vs 10) he just became loose and he lost his place of favor with God, 20 years, he was gone and then King Solomon shifted his love for God to the love of many women and the glory departed, vanity upon vanity all his vanity, and the lord raised adversary against him, he was called Solomon the son of peace but he lost his peace when he disconnected.

There was a particular adversary God raised against Solomon, he was an adversary to Solomon until the day of his death, he was his enemy until they put him in the grave, he (Solomon) truly loved God, God was at the center of his life but that lasted only for 20 years.

He finished building the house of God and he said what more am I to do, I am free, he just got so free for the devil to pick up, the devil said well, am looking for those who are free, you have got all the money in the world, just marry as many as you can, nobody can question you, you are the kabiyesi(king) and he just went off. You will not go off in Jesus name.

That’s why we need grace for continuity, everybody needs grace for continuity , you and I will always need grace for continuity. Paul said, I am what I am by the grace of God , it is important for us to see the place of Grace, how do we get the grace? We come boldly into the throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help us in time of need, so when evil wind blows across, you can stand fast against the storms.

The bible also says grace and peace multiplies by knowledge, we need to keep learning more and more what it takes to remain steadfast in your walk with God, the combination of the two will make you a candidate for grace.

I must say today, we are not where we are by any strength or skill, I am not standing on my feet today by any strength or skill but the grace of God, have I ever missed it? Severally ! But he gets me back on my feet, he corrects me, I have said things that he told me was not correct and he will tell me when it has been announced , we can be wrong that’s why we have a master and Jesus is the master, he has the right to correct at any point, you can’t challenge him. Grace is the guarantee for any glorious destiny in the kingdom.
