Grace is not a New Testament Teaching!

I know just looking @ the topic, someone is already screaming, heresy!!
Calm Down!
Grace is a Bible Teaching. It’s not new testament. If began right from the old testament.
Gen. 6:8
But Noah Found Grace in the sight of God.
** But ** never starts a sentence, rather it introduces a phrase or a clause, and if you are a good English student, you will understand what a phrase or clause is . If you don’t dust your notes. Alright, the word But introduces a phrase or clause, and the phrase introduced contrasts the statement mention before. In this case, we need to look thoroughly @ Gen.6:4-7 to understand verse 8.
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and thatevery imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6  And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7  And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Taking a deep look at verse 7, we will see that God had already determined to destroy the whole earth but the man Noah, found grace in the sight of God.

That’s interesting, God felt no! This man doesn’t deserve to be destroyed, although the earth is so corrupt, I will spare this man. The grace noah found can also be said to be unmerited favour. Let’s not forget, this is old testament!! A Man enjoyed grace, yet Jesus hadn’t come to die for our sins. What could make God spare Noah in a world filled with wickedness?
Let’s understand verse 8 of that scripture
Gen. 6:8
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

If Noah found GRACE, then why do ministers make Grace look as though it’s new testament. It’s just coming. We are in the era of Grace. This verse (Gen. 6:8) doesn’t suggest that. It doesn’t suggest it’s a new era thing!
If Grace is found in Genesis which is the book of beginnings, then Grace Don Tay, like my igbo friends will say.
