[Gospel News] Crowder Celebrates Multiple GMA Dove Award Nominations

Genre-defying artist and multi-instrumentalist Crowder is celebrating multiple GMA Dove Award nominations, announced today. As a leading nominee, Crowder receives nods in categories; Song of the Year (‘Red Letters’), Rock/Contemporary Recorded Songs of the Year (‘Wildfire’), Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year (I Know A Ghost), and Short Form Video of the Year (‘Red Letters’). The 50th Annual Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards will take place on Oct. 15th, and honors outstanding achievements and excellence in Christian and Gospel Music.

Crowder’s Gospel-infused single “Let It Rain (Is There Anybody)” feat. Mandisa is his fastest-rising career single to date and is currently on Billboard’s Top 10 Christian Airplay charts. “Let It Rain (Is There Anybody)” feat. Mandisa amassed early momentum, charting weeks ahead of the official radio add date and marked the most adds of Crowder’s career. Crowder and Mandisa are featured in the music video for his song, view it (HERE). “Let It Rain (Is There Anybody)” feat. Mandisa is off Crowder’s highly-acclaimed album I Know A Ghost(sixstepsrecords/Capitol Christian Music Group).

I Know A Ghost garnered rave reviews as a collection of songs that seamlessly blend genres. Billboard featured Crowder’s musically-elaborate style and unpredictable song craft with an in-depth interview. The Guardian called Crowder “…a master of mood and instrumentation…” and Relevant featured the album in their ‘Selects,’ which highlights the best in music, calling it “…a curious intersection between Pink Floyd and Big Star. It absolutely works.” I Know A Ghost includes both GMA Dove Award nominated songs, “Wildfire” and “Red Letters.” The highly-lauded “Red Letters” hit the Billboard Top 5 on Christian Airplay charts earlier this year, and marked Crowder’s sixth Top 10, since the launch of his solo career.

Crowder will once again join MercyMe for the fall trek of their nationwide IMAGINE NATION TOUR. The arena tour will kick off in Buffalo, NY on Oct. 3rd with upcoming stops at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York on Oct. 8th, and the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on Oct. 27th.
