Good Health. God hates to see us sick because falling sick was not part of His plan for humanity, He did not design us to be weak or fall sick. If you read Genesis chapters 1&2, you will see that there was no sickness because that was not God’s original intention. Sickness came in after sin came in. Sickness, diseases and pain are the ravaging effects of sin but it is God’s will for us that we enjoy good health. (3 John 1:2 TPT)

Good health is superior to healing and we must not tolerate the idea that God punishes people with sickness or tolerates sickness in any form. (Jeremiah 30:17-19 NLT). Christ was on an all-out war against sicknesses and diseases because healing was essential to His redemptive assignment. Healing and health are part of the redemptive package. We must push it out of our mind that “sickness is part of life”. When Jesus encountered people who asked Him for Healing, He would say to them, “Have what your faith expects”. When you expect health, you will live in health.

Christ had a legal basis for healing Jews through Abraham’s covenant with God. You see an instance in Luke 13:16 NLT.

…”This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?”

What qualified that woman for healing was the fact that she belonged to the lineage of Abraham and she was covered by the covenant that Abraham had with God. Today there is a new covenant established through Christ, not with the blood of animals or through circumcision but by the blood of Christ (Galatians 3:13-14 MSG). We are whole because of Christ’s finished work, by His wounds we are healed.

You must sit down with the word of God and see your healing. You need to take your eyes off the symptoms and the diagnosis, that should not be your focus. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. The word of God is like a mirror that shows you who you are in Christ. Stay with the word of God.
