God is Always Ahead of the Devil - Pastor Adeboye

  • Pastor Adeboye lists the benefit of Lockdown
  • Convention has truly been Wonderful

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye has revealed the wisdom of God despite the plan of the enemy, he said God is always ahead of the enemy.
Pastor Adeboye spoke at the E -convention that began on August 3rd, 2020. He told RCCG church members that despite everything that has happened, the church was still able to reach out to them wherever they may be and still have a “very, very wonderful convention”.

“Can you imagine why the Almighty God chose the theme for this Convention, even at a time when we had no idea how it is going to be?

He explained that the lockdown situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has shown that house fellowships are a very important part of the church. He said that even when churches were closed, the house fellowship still continued, saying that “God is always a step ahead of the enemy”. Pastor Adeboye said that the activeness of the fellowship was one of the blessings that happened to the church during the lockdown.

“One of the benefits of the lockdown was that House Fellowships became more active, with people turning their homes into House Churches, opening their homes to God,” he said, citing 2 Samuel 6:11 to show how those who offer their homes for house fellowships always get tremendously blessed.

He also noted that many branches of RCCG started out from that small but significant home unit. Pastor Adeboye referenced 1 Kings 17 as he used the experience of the widow of Zarephath to highlight the blessings that come to people’s homes during fellowships.
