Gateways to financial fortune – Bishop David Oyedepo

Introduction

It’s not enough to be saved, it is important to know what accompanies salvation and how to realize it. Next to salvation, the greatest asset to any believer is revelation. A believer without spiritual understanding is as good as dead.

Prayer: Father, open my eyes to behold the wondrous things out of your law and help me to access the wonders of financial fortune as my package in redemption.

Visions, revelations, riches, dreams, and goals are all definitions of expected outcomes as revealed in His Word. Don’t be so conscious of the expected outcome without being conscious of how to actualize it.

So many are engrossed under the euphoria of the expected outcome without minding the process of getting there.

No one is born as a giant!

A get-rich-quick syndrome is of the devil!

You have to get pregnant first before putting to birth.

Financial fortune from God is not a press-button store; it is an agenda.

Life is a journey, and the journey of a million miles begins with only one step. There is always a process to get your expected outcome.

Building from the bottom up is the only way to get to the top. One step and another keeps you on track but not knowing where to start has kept many believers suspended.

There is nothing magical or mystical about God. No magic, no games!

Message Title: Gateways to Financial Fortune (Part 1A)

Speaker: Bishop David Oyedepo

It is your walk with patience that brings you to your place of financial abundance.

“Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.”

“If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.”

“Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.”

“Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.” Job 22:22 – 25.

Your access to every redemptive provision is by revelation. Only the spiritual can access revelation.

“The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.” Psalm 25:14.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” 2 Peter 1:3.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14.

It takes spiritual discipline to flow in revelation. Train your mind to think only positive thoughts from the revelation of God’s Word.

“But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” 2 Peter 2:22.

There is a covenant that governs God’s prosperity and that is the covenant of seedtime and harvest.

“And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.”

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:21 – 22.

The covenant works under any climatic condition under heaven!

How can you see tangible testimony from your Christian friend who is your business partner and still doubt its reality?

The Bible calls it an evil heart of unbelief.

I cast out that evil heart of unbelief in the name of Jesus!

Even natural men wish themselves long life and prosperity. As a believer, you should always wish yourself well. Think on good things – wealth, health, long life, etc.

Hard times are not coming, hard times are here for anyone to see, yet there are people smiling without cutting corners in spite of the hard times.

Come and join the company, but as far as your eyes can see; that is what you receive.

What is a Covenant?

It is a deal enacted by God, based on well-defined terms, and sealed with an oath.

God is saying I have these covenant packages for you and here are the terms if you are interested.

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

“For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,”

“Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.”

“And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”

“For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.”

“Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:”

“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:” Hebrews 6:12 – 18.

God has no other way of changing your story other than by His word, He tells you what to do if you will do it.

The covenant of financial fortune is hinged on the principle of giving. Giving is not just to stay out of poverty, but to stay under open heavens.

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;”

“That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;”

“Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” 1 Timothy 6:17-19.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.

Through the mystery of giving and receiving God is able to make all grace abound towards us that we may abound in every good work. Demonstrate your love to your source, of Him you have received, of His own you are giving back.

No matter what shuts down in these hard times, your endeavours shall never shut down!

God is never in need, He wants to get you out of your need!

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John 1:16.

You don’t have the capacity to sponsor God!

Your seed is not a financial donation to help God, the church or ministers.

“The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
Psalms 24:1
.

Your seed sown is a spiritual transaction to provoke the hand of God over your life.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10.

“And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.” Hebrews 7:8.

Your giving is a spiritual transaction!

By the covenant, you are not permitted to suffer what the world around you suffers.

COVENANT KEYS TO FINANCIAL FORTUNE

1. Be spiritually minded.

2. Make the covenant of seedtime and harvest your lifestyle.

“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.”

“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” Proverbs 11:24 – 25.

3. Embrace financial integrity in your dealings.

“I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.” Zechariah 5:4.

“As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.” Jeremiah 17:11.

4. Remain committed to being a blessing to those around you.

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:” Genesis 12:2.

5. Seek continuous guidance on the way to go.

“And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.” Isaiah 48:21.

6. Be committed to thinking and speaking covenant-based words.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Proverbs 23:7.

7. Keep rejoicing to take delivery of your returns.

“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:”

“Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”

“The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.” Habakkuk 3:17-19.
