HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEART
Bible Passage: 2 Corinthians 10:2-6
2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

THE MESSAGE
To see God’s mighty power in your life, you must maintain a perfect heart. And there are three basic ways to do that. Firstly, feed your heart with a balanced spiritual diet by spending quality time studying God’s word. Secondly, be careful about what you read, watch and listen to because they are food for your heart. If for instance somebody comes to gossip about your best friend or a fellow believer, that person has succeeded in sowing a seed of hatred in you, which may eventually pollute your heart if you don’t handle it wisely.
“Take heed what you hear” (Mark 4:24); “Take heed how you hear” (Luke 8:18). What and how you hear determines what you believe and this determines how far you go in life. Doctors and nutritionists advice you on foods that keep your physical heart healthy, likewise you must be careful what you allow into your spiritual heart through your ears and eyes.
Prayer Points
Lord God, give me grace to reject and refuse every form of heart pollution that seeks to gain entrance into my life through my ears and eyes, in the name of Jesus!
Father, help me to keep Your Words in my heart, and let Your word change my thoughts, desires, motives and every issue of my heart, in the mighty name of Jesus!
Lord Jesus, by Your grace I will spend eternity with you, help me not to miss eternity in Jesus’ name!
Prophetic Declaration of the Day: Your heart is purged of all evil thoughts right now in Jesus name!
