ENDURE THE LABOUR

Prior to the birth of Jesus, Mary had gone through the process of pregnancy. She had gone through the pains of labour, and when she brought forth her son, a star appeared in the east, and it led the wise men to come to Jerusalem, until they eventually came to the house where Jesus was. Mary went through pain, and then came the star. A private pain became a public shining. A private labour preceded the public shining of the star.

Friend, never seek a public shining without first going through private labour pains. Never seek the attention of your generation without first going through the threshing floor where the wheat is separated from the chaff. Never seek public impact and accolades without a private consecration. Never seek visibility without first going through the labour of pushing forth the seed that God planted in you all by Himself.

There is a generation that loves to see the stars shine, without first bearing the labour of bringing forth the ‘baby’ that will attract the star. There is a generation that wants results without being subjected to a private commitment, dedication, competence, consecration, hard work, preparation, etc. If you want to see a shining, then fall in love with the labour that goes before the shining. Fall in love with the pain that precedes the shining.

Notice that the star did not appear in the months preceding the birthing of Mary’s child. The star only came when the child was born. The star only came when she completed the phase of pain and labour that should precede the shining. Don’t expect your star to shine when you have not gone through the labour pains that should bring forth that seed that God put in you. Don’t expect a star when your private labour is not complete.

Today, I pray for you: your pains will lead to a shining. Your pains will not be wasted. Every labour you have gone through in the secret place will lead to a public manifestation and public congratulations.
