Empowered for exploits – Pastor Steve Ogah – AYAC 2024

AYAC 2024 DAY 2
MORNING SESSION
WORD 1
EMPOWERED FOR EXPLOITS — PASTOR STEVE OGAH

The Holy Spirit is the principal source of empowerment in this kingdom (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:22–23). The Holy Spirit empowers the believer through diverse channels, and we’ll be exploring those channels in all our sessions.

1. **The Spirit of Wisdom
1 Corinthians 12:6–8 (NIV):
*”There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gift of healing by that one Spirit.”*

Isaiah 11:2 (NIV):
“The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him — the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord.”

Every believer who carries the Holy Ghost on the inside, carries a deposit of the Spirit of Wisdom. It takes the empowerment of the Spirit of Wisdom to command exploits. When we check all through the scripture, we find out that the Spirit of Wisdom was behind the making of many kingdom giants. One time ordinary men became trans-generational entities because of the Spirit of Wisdom. Think about Moses; this man manifested strange dimensions. He related face-to-face with God. Deuteronomy 34:9 (NIV): “Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.” Moses was a carrier of the Spirit of Wisdom. One man led 3 million people from the land of captivity to their promised land.
Think about David, another man, a carrier of the Spirit of Wisdom, distinguished among the kings of Israel. David manifested all of this through the Spirit of Wisdom 2 Samuel 14:20 (NIV): “Your servant Joab did this to change the present situation. My lord has wisdom like that of an angel of God — knowledge of all things that happen in the land.”
Think about Paul, another distinguished apostle (2 Pet 3:15)

“Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.”
Paul never met Jesus in the flesh. He came late but overtook all of the other apostles. He said of himself, “I’m the least of all the apostles, but upon my arrival, I carried the Spirit of Wisdom.”

Prayer: Somebody here, God will grant you supernatural speed.
So when you carry wisdom, it shows; it distinguishes. Till tomorrow, you can’t preach a complete message of the gospel without reference to Paul.
Prayer: By the impartation of the Spirit of Wisdom which is coming upon every one of us on this mountain, each one will be moving to realms of trans-generational impact. This generation will celebrate you.
The good news is that in these last days, we are in the days of the manifold wisdom of God.
Ephesians 3:10 (NIV): “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,”
We also further understand that nothing wins the world like wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 9:14–15 (NIV): “There was once a small city with only a few people in it. And a powerful king came against it, surrounded it, and built huge siege works against it. Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. But nobody remembered that poor man.
“When the Spirit of Wisdom comes upon a man, no matter the battle he’s confronted with, there’s guaranteed victory.
So divine wisdom remains the most effective weapon to bring down the strength of principalities and powers. But this wisdom is packaged in a mystery.
1 Corinthians 2:7–10 (NIV): “No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ — the things God has prepared for those who love him — these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
Mysteries are hidden truths available to all but accessible by few. Most times, it does not appear sound to the common man.
1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV): “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”
This wisdom cannot be understood by common sense (Isa 55:8). This wisdom might not appear sound but does not lack proof.

The wisdom of God is domiciled in His Word (Luke 11:49). So every word from God contains the wisdom from God (2 Tim 3:15). What is the Holy Spirit able to do? It can make you wise. That’s why the devil will stop at nothing to estrange the believer’s access to this book. Have you wondered why sometimes when you pray, you are largely active? When it’s time to praise, you are jumping, but when the time comes for the Word, hmmm… The major area we challenge ourselves in this year should be to eat the Word. After dawn, you quote yourself that you will finish the Bible every day, 5 chapters. Tell somebody like that here: 5 chapters every day. And the moment you open the book, hmmmm… You start at the first verse, second verse, and tenth verse — the energy you begin with is nose-diving. And then, all of a sudden, a strange wind begins to blow. Come on, don’t pretend that you don’t know what I’m talking about. You begin to see men like trees; you begin to see revelation and insight that is not in that book. And then you close the book and you say, “Surely God’s goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of God.” And the devil will say, “Amen.” The devil will stop at nothing to restrain the believer’s access to this book because the wisdom of God is domiciled in the Word of God. But from today, it will not happen to anyone here. A fresh hunger for the Word is coming upon every youth. So this wisdom simply means applying God’s Word as appropriate to any given situation. It is simply applying God’s Word as appropriate to any given situation (Matt 7:24–25). From today, the house of your destiny will not fall. I am praying for one person here: the house of your destiny will not crash.

So this wisdom simply means applying God’s Word as appropriate (James 1:22). Be ye doers; don’t explain it, do it. Don’t just hear it, do it. It is the doing of the Word that makes a man wise (James 1:23). Be ye doers of the Word, not hearers only, otherwise, you are deceiving yourself.
The question is, how then do we access this wisdom for exploits? If we have established that the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Wisdom and that it takes the Spirit of Wisdom to command exploits in life, how then do I access the Spirit of Wisdom?

1. **Through the Prayer Altar: James 1:5 — “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
If any of you lack wisdom, that does not mean you do not have it, but if you think that you need it, ask God. There is a wisdom for every level of life. In the school of wisdom, there is no limit; there is no graduation. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally. The word liberally means lavishly, lavishly, lavishly. That’s how He gave Solomon. Solomon asked and God gave liberally. In one sweep, an ordinary man became an extraordinary man. How? The Spirit of Wisdom. The Spirit of Wisdom is the difference maker, the story changer. Let him ask.

We see Daniel in Daniel 6:10 — “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” Daniel, a man of unchecked wisdom, was distinguished among the princes. In Daniel 6:10, he prayed; he needed to contact the all-wise God. So he prayed to the God of all wisdom. If you need wisdom, pray to the God of wisdom. And with this, Daniel became relevant generation after generation. Kings came and died; Daniel remained. In Daniel 5:11, they testified of a man of unchecked wisdom, saying, “There is a man in your kingdom.” One thing about this wisdom is that it announces you. Hear this: upon your return from AYAC 2024, as you become an embodiment of the Spirit of Wisdom, you will be announced to your world. They said to the king, “King, you are a new king; you will not know what has been happening, but there is a man in this kingdom in whom the spirit of the holy gods” (Dan 5:11). Now they could not define the Holy Spirit, so the best way they could explain Him was to say the holy gods. But what they meant was that there is a man in whom the Spirit of the Holy God (Dan 5:11). When others were stranded, Daniel had the solution. Watch this: as you go back from AYAC 2024, the wisdom of God will catapult you. Are you hearing what I’m saying? In the same way, the wisdom of God catapulted Daniel, this wisdom will catapult someone to the top. At every crossroad, divine wisdom has a way out. That was the story of Daniel. They began to testify that this Daniel is not like the others; he was a carrier of the Spirit of Wisdom. That sets a man in a whole new class. Now let’s read down (Dan 5:11), in case you didn’t hear me the first time. Because the wisdom at work with him made him master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers. So this wisdom makes you a master. This wisdom will bring out the master in all our youth. You get back to school; by the working of this divine wisdom, you move from third class to first class. Are you hearing what I’m saying? You get back to your offices; by the workings of this wisdom, when the entire organization is stranded, the wisdom will begin to put solutions in your heart. As you drop the solution, they will tell you there is no point; you take over. You’re the one with the answers. Take over. That will be somebody’s testimony. If you are shouting amen, make it loud and clear.

2. Through Meditation in the Word: Psalm 119:97–98 — “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.” So thinking the Word makes you wise. Thinking the Word — we think of too many junks; think the Word. Meditate on the Word. Watch this: Psalm 119:98 — “Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.” But they are ever helpless. Why? Divine wisdom. I have more understanding than my teachers (Ps 119:99). Psalm 119:100 — “I understand more than the ancients because I keep thy precepts.” You want to contact this fountain of the Spirit of Wisdom through meditation in the Word. Spend time to soak yourself in the Word. Separate yourself and think on the Word. “A man having separated himself intermeddleth with all wisdom.” Settle down in the Word and absorb all the nutrients in the Word through meditation. In 1 Timothy 4:13, hear the charge that Paul gave: “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.” All of this refers to the Word. “Neglect not the gift.” These are gifts; don’t neglect them. Think on the Word.

3. Through the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit: When the Holy Ghost begins to brood over the minds of men, through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, wisdom springs forth. In Job 32:7–8, Job says, “I thought wisdom comes with age.” No, have you not heard very foolish things spoken by old people? Wisdom is not a function of age. But have you not heard some amazing words of wisdom come from a young child? From today, every word that comes out of your mouth will be clouded with divine wisdom. But hear what Job was saying — he said, “I thought before, but this is what I know as the truth: there is a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth him understanding.” When the Holy Ghost begins to brood over the minds and intellect of man, wisdom springs forth.

In 1 Corinthians 2:12–14, this wisdom makes you know the things that are freely given to us. Verse 13 says that when this Spirit begins to brood, the words that come out of your mouth are not natural. The solutions that come from your innermost being aren’t natural. While others are stranded, the wisdom of God just comes — whoosh — solutions land.

Consider the building of the Faith Tabernacle. There came a time when a structure was already built, and they needed to bring in one of their big machines. But the machine couldn’t go through the doors, and the engineers all stood there thinking, “What do we do? Do we break the columns on top to give allowance and headroom for the machine to come in? If we break it, it may affect the structure.” And they began to ponder and wonder, “What do we do?” Then God’s servant, our Father, arrived on the scene. “What’s going on?” he asked. “We are faced with a challenge,” they said. “We need this machine to go inside, but the only solution is to break the column on top, and it may affect the structure. It may come down.” Then the Holy Ghost began to brood, and all of a sudden, he said, “What is the size of the tire?” They told him. “What is the headroom you need? Deflate the tire, drive the truck inside, and then pump the tire back up.”
