- Death is a great shock and tremendous loss
The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Oyo state Chapter Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju , has sent his condolence message to the family of Rev. Oyor, he described his death as a great shock and a tremendous loss to the association. Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ibadan. Apostle Akinyemiju stated that his death was sad because he had been a worthy resource person to CAN in the state.
“He was a man of God, who impacted on so many lives in and outside his ministry, we therefore, give glory to God for his life, a life of service to God and humanity.
“We pray that God grants all the mourners the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
In addition, the Oyo State former CAN chairman, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, described Rev. Gomba Oyor as a genuine man of God, who feared God and impacted on humanity.
“Death is inevitable, it’s something that everyone of us must bow to when the time comes, no one can die without God knowing.
“We must all die one day when we finish our assignment on earth, so Rev. Oyor has finished his own work and God has called him home,” he said.
Reverend Gomba Fortune Oyor (Ph.D) was born on the 18th of July 1959 and passed away on the 7th of August, 2020. He bagged B.sc, M.Ed, and Phd degrees , he attended Rivers State University of Science and Technology, University of Ibadan as well as Haggai Institute of Advanced Leadership Training Singapore, Southeast Asia.
He was the former founding member and president of Student Christian Movement Branch of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.
He was also the Former National Traveling Secretary of SCM of Nigeria. Rev. G.F Oyor authored many books such as Complete Deliverance and Healing in Jesus Name, Knowing God Intimately, Covenants Curses and the Ways Out among other books. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
