“That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:10-11 (KJV)
If you have the seed of righteousness, which we all have as children of God, then you ought to produce the fruits of righteousness. According to the scriptures: “For he hath made him to be sin for
us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV).
The perfect sacrifice of Christ has put us in the right standing with God. So, we are righteous as children of God. But that righteousness should be expressed through our good works. Of what use is a mango tree if we come to the tree during mango season and we don’t find mangoes on it?
Beloved, this is not a dress rehearsal. If there is anything that God wants to do in these last days, it is quick work. He is looking for men and women that will take cities and continents. God is looking for men and women who will manifest His glory.
Many things are competing for our attention, but we must learn to focus on what truly matters. Jesus said to Martha: “…thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful:…” Luke 10:41-42 (KJV). What is this one thing? Sit at the feet of Jesus and learn so that you can bring forth fruits that will endure. You can’t give what you don’t have.
