Focus is anything that consumes your time, energy, finance and attention. Life is about focus; only the focused will succeed. Focus precedes success. Many people are good in starting something but are not good in finishing it. If you are good in starting something without finishing it, then you are not focused. It is only focused people are good finishers.There is a gold mine in every goal-mind and that is a function of focus.
Matt.6:22-The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
The above scripture reveals that if your eye is focused, your entire life will radiate light. May that distinguish you wherever you are found in the name of Jesus!
The only reason men fail in life is because of broken focus. Lack of focus will make one live like a locust. Life can only be dynamic if it is specific. Satan’s main target is to break your focus off your assignment on earth. Your enemy is anyone that breaks your focus from any God-given assignment and your friend is one who helps you to focus on the instructions of God for your life.
Matt.5:29-30 -And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Jesus encouraged His disciples from the above scripture to keep their focus on the kingdom of God. He told them that all the provisions of the things they need will come through absolute focus on His kingdom according to Matt.6:33.
Matt.6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The easiest way to destroy any man’s goal or dream is to give him another goal or dream. Broken focus creates instability and insecurity.
James 1:8 -A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Focused people don’t do good things; they do the right things per time. A wise man said – I go out at what I do as if there were nothing else in the world to do. When you keep your face on the sunshine, you will not see the shadows – another wise man said. It is broken focus that makes destinies to be broken. Obstacles are seen by people when they take their eyes off their goals; a focused man does not see obstacles.
To protect your focus, you must always look at your future. Do not look at the present or where you are starting from; look at where you are going to. Paul focused on his future to avoid being distracted in Phil.3:13-14.
Phil.3:13-14 -Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
If you want to be focused, you must master something because whatever keeps your attention has mastered you. When you are focused on an assignment, it will drive your inner man to accomplish that assignment.
If you want to protect your focus, you must watch what hear, see and meditate upon. You are the gate keeper of your life. Keep the right people around you and permit only relationship that increases your focus on your assignment because wrong people destroy focus. It was one wrong relationship that destroyed Samson in Judges 13-16. When wrong people leave your life, wrong things stop happening around you.
In an attempt to break your focus, satan can introduce a wrong person into your life that will reduce your speed or even go as far as shift your focus. Those people will come around to tell you unnecessary things that will not improve your life but God will not allow it in Jesus name! Every wrong person around you, I cast them out from your life now in Jesus name!
The masker key to outstanding success is focus. What you are doing now might be good but is it the right thing? Take personal responsibility because it is focus that makes the real difference in your life. Your life is in your hand and if you have focus, great will be your future.
May God help you to maintain focus on your God-given assignment per time! Let your eyes see the right things, your ear hear the right things and your heart meditate on the right things! You will succeed! God will not allow anything take you off course in Jesus mighty name!
