Let’s BEGIN (Are you ready as I am😁).

This book emphasized on THREE perspectives.

First: The importance of the mind.
Second: Conditions of the mind.
Third: Wilderness mentalities.

Are you ready to dine with me as I give a summarized documentation on this Spirit and Power packed book.

Let’s go:

LEAD #1: The importance of the mind.

Its important we know that the zeal of Satan is to setup ‘stronghold’ in our mind. Hence the ongoing war we see happening all around.

Someone just soliloquized saying ‘🤔 Could it be the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine?’.

No dear. The war being referred to is one where Satan imprisons a person in a certain kind of thinking controlled exclusively by him.
Let’s read: Read 2Corinthians 10:4-5.

4The weapons we use in our fight are not the world’s weapons but God’s powerful weapons, which we use to destroy strongholds. We destroy false arguments;

5 we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.

Verse 5 depicted the venue of the war.

📌 It’s important we prioritize our thoughts because it has limitless creative abilities.

Ok let’s look up this scripture.
Romans 8:5 TPT

5. Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities.

6. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.

you reading this, say ‘Mind’… Good. Say it a second time…. One last time…. Good👍🏼.

The key word in that scripture is ‘Mind-set’. This brings me to say that ‘ our minds will not be straightened up UNTIL our mind does’.

The weapons of the Word—-Praise—-Prayer is what we can DELIBERATELY use to TEAR DOWN all strongholds Satan has built in our mind.

I just heard someone say ‘…But Paulinus ive done all in my power, nothing happened😭.’

I can imagine how discouraged you are despite failed attempt.. However let me remind you that issues as this are ‘overcomed’ by determination in the Holy Spirit and not your own self/fleshy effort. The Holy Spirit is a Helper.

Ok let’s see this scripture together.
Zac4:6 GNB

6 The angel told me to give Zerubbabel this message from the LORD: “You will succeed, not by military might or by your own strength, but by my spirit.

In other words, leaning on the strength of the Holy Spirit and not ours is where victory comes… We are strengthened by the Spirit.

Of a truth, its easy to quit, but know that it takes Faith to Go Through.
Hebrews 3:19 GNB and TPT versions respectively.

19 We see, then, that they were not able to enter the land, because they did not believe.

19. It is clear that they could not enter into their inheritance because they wrapped their hearts in unbelief.

The renewing of the mind Will take place little by little. Even if your progress is slow, don’t be discouraged.

Be informed that the devil will try his hardest to stop you in the aspect of ‘you renewing your mind’….let me tell you why? It’s because 100% knows that HE HAS LOST the moment you have decided to CHOOSE Right thoughts over Wrong ones.

✍🏽 For the record, ‘ Discouragement and Condemnation’ will be his tools of attempt.

How do we overcome these tools of his.
By using Romans 8:1. Let’s read how different translations put it.

So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One. (TPT)

With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud (TMB)

There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. (GNB).

I think i need to repeat this; ‘ Discouragement destroys hope and without hope, we give up and that’s EXACTLY what the devil wants.

psalms 119:15 informs us that the more we spend time meditating on God’s word, the more we reap from the word.👇🏽

Joshua 1:8 (GNB)
Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Your mind plays an important role in your victory.

📌 Right thinking has nothing to do with Salvation. Salvation is based SOLELY on the Blood of Jesus, his death on the cross and his resurrection.

📌 Many people will be in heaven because they accepted Jeuss as Savior, but many of these same people will never have walked in victory or enjoyed the good plan God had for them because they did not get their mind renewed according to his word.

LEAD #2: Conditions of the mind.

One of the purpose of the Holy Spirit is to reveal to us, God’s wisdom and revelation.

Corinthians 2:11 (TPT)

After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.

According to God’s word, the mind and the Spirit work together. Its called ‘ The principle of the mind guiding the spirit’

The way a person’s own spirit within him is the only one who knows his thoughts, its this same way the Holy Spirit knows the mind of God.

Some of you may ask: ‘ When is my mind normal?’….Your mind is normal when it is AT REST( I didn’t say when the mind is ‘BLANK’) When it’s at REST.
A mind that is too busy is ABNORMAL.

🙇🏽‍♀️ To understand the principle of ‘Mind aiding Spirit’ is to think of prayer. Apostle Paul has this to say👇🏽

1Corinthians 14:15 (TPT)
So here’s what I’ve concluded. I will pray in the Spirit, but I will also pray with my mind engaged. I will sing rapturous praises in the Spirit, but I will also sing with my mind engaged.

🙇🏽‍♀️ Another Condition of the mind that is abnormal is when it is wandering all over the place. Inability to concentrate indicates mental attack from the devil.

Do you know that lack of comprehension is a lack of concentration and the real problem to this is caused by a wandering mind.

No wonder ‘wandering’ leaves a person in indecision which in turn causes confusion—-thereby making the individual unable to receive from God the answer to his prayer.

Mark 11:23-24(TPT)

Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.

24 This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

As Christians, verse 24 says BELIEVEEEEEEE not WANDERRRRRR.

The man of ‘two mind’ is the picture of confusion as he constantly goes back and forth, never deciding anything.

📌 Dont reason in the mind, JUST OBEY GOD IN THE SPIRIT.

1Corinthians 2:14 (TPT) has this to say👇🏽

Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit.

When God speaks🗣️, we are to mobilize not rationalise.

Never forget that ‘reasoning and confusion’ goes together.

🤔 If you know in your spirit that a thing is wrong, DONT ALLOW ‘reasoning’ to talk you into doing it.—— There’s a BIG DIFFERENCE between head knowledge and revelation knowledge.

🙇🏽‍♀️ People feel doubt and belief are the same. Well,they’re connected yet different.

Doubt: To stand in the way.
Unbelief: Rendered Disobedience.
You see these two👆🏼 definitions up there, they’re the powerful tools of the enemy.

🙏🏽 Please, during a storm know that your mind is the battlefield. For this reason, never you make your decision based on your thoughts, feelings… instead, check your spirit, when you do, you will find the same vision that was there in the beginning.

🤷🏻‍♀️ Is the condition of your mind described as ‘A judgemental, Critical and Suspicious one’

Many relationshipps has crashed due to that attitude depicted above.

✍🏽 Joyce said that there’s a pastor she knows who whenever he hears that people are talking about him, the first thing he asks himself is this: ‘Are they sowing OR am I reaping.?’.
She further said that many times, we are reaping in our lives what we have previously sown into the lives of others.

How about those whose mind is ‘PASSIVE’

Those who first heard the good news of deliverance failed to enter into that realm of faith’s-rest because of their unbelieving hearts. Yet the fact remains that we still have the opportunity to enter into the faith-rest life and experience the fulfillment of the promise!
Hebrews 4:6 (TPT).

Passivity is the opposite of Activity.

A passive person thinks he is doing nothing wrong because he is doing nothing. When he’s confronted with his error, he will say: ‘I didn’t do anything’—- Well his analysis is correct, but his behaviour IS NOT. …. THE PROBLEM AROSE PRECISELY BECAUSE HE DID NOTHING.

Be GOD-MINDED.
Be ‘GOD-LOVES-ME’ MINDED TOO.

1john 4:16 (TPT).

We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us.

God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them.

LEAD #3: Wilderness mentalities.

First thing first, a wilderness mentality is a wrong mindset.

Let me share some highlights of these ‘wilderness mentalities’

🌟 Some feel that their future is determined by their past and present.
This is not true… remember with men, some things may be impossible but with God nothing is impossible.

🌟 Some don’t want to take the responsibility do they prefer people doing practically all things for them..

Genesis 11:31. (GNB).

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot, who was the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, Abram’s wife, and with them he left the city of Ur in Babylonia to go to the land of Canaan. They went as far as Haran and settled there.

Listen, Responsibility is your response to God’s ability. Its your way of of responding to the opportunities God has placed in front of you.

Its quite laughable that people with this kind of mentalities want to have EVERYTHING and do NOTHING.

🌟 Some wants things to be made easy for them bevathey can’t take it if its too hard.

Well its usually hard if you choose to do it independently and not relying on God’s grace.

🌟 Some are addicted to faultfinding, complaining and grumbling.

Listen, ‘PATIENT’ is not the ability to wait, but the ability to KEEP A GOOD ATTITUDE while waiting’

Rom 12:3 (GNB)

And because of God’s gracious gift to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you should. Instead, be modest in your thinking, and judge yourself according to the amount of faith that God has given you.

🌟 Some are fully aware that their behavior is wrong, yet they say its not thier fault.

Well, abuse or past hurtful experiences may be the reason you act the way you do, but don’t let it become an excuse to stay this way.

🌟 Some of you have concluded that your life is miserable beyond repair.

Listen, you can be pitiful or powerful, but you CAN’T BE BOTH.

You can’t entertain demons of self pity and also walk in the power if God.

🌟 Some of you conclude that you don’t deserve God’s blessing.

Listen, if you have a negative attitude about yourself, even when God want to help you, you won’t receive it.

KEY INSIGHTS FROM THE BOOK 👀.

✍🏽 ‘If’ and ‘But’ are two most deceptive words that Satan ever plants in our minds.

✍🏽 ‘Abuse’ may be the reason you act the way you do, but don’t let it become an excuse to stay this way.

✍🏽 patient is not the ability to ‘wait’ , but the ability to ‘keep a good attitude’ while waiting.

✍🏽 Pray with Thanksgiving not complaining.

✍🏽 Beware of thoughts that says ‘ I can’t do it/ it’s too hard’.

✍🏽 If you’re operating in the mind of Christ, you will work in wisdom not emotions.

✍🏽 Excitement will carry a person along for a while, but it will not take him across the finish line.

✍🏽 Trust God completely and Men discreetly.

✍🏽 Relationships can be destroyed by speaking thoughtless words and it can also be destroyed by the omission if kind words of appreciation that should have been spoken but never were.

✍🏽 Our words confirms our faith or lack of faith, that’s how important words are.

✍🏽 In spiritual warfare, the mind is the battle field.
