I have been a victim of backsliding times without number. Many people will see it as a sign of unseriousness. I remember how hard I was searching for God. I was well brought up in a Christian home and was totally taught the way of the Lord but I lost track the moment I became independent…

Due to my upbringing, no matter how hard I try to partake in some unholy act, I felt this restriction because it wasn’t my way of life. A larger part of me wanted to be on God side but I kept giving my life to Christ and going back to the same sin..
I couldn’t break off from some terrible addictions. I lost count of spiritual mentors, counselors, leaders and friends that I walked up to for help.. It got to a point I could figure out their words even before saying them because I hear same thing all over again.

One thing was missing; “NO FOLLOW UP”. It all ended the moment I approach them.. they hardly checked if I was still in Christ.. unfortunately, I couldn’t keep on for long , I find myself going back to the world.. No one cared to put a call through once in a while.

Salvation is a process, there is a place of nuturing. Some persons needs to be monitored. No matter how busy we claim to be, we can always put a call through, intercede , send scriptures and follow up.

Unfortunately, today we see brethrens mocking their fellow bethren when they see them backslide. They are fast to call them names and even cast them out of the gathering of bethrens because they are seen as sinners.. if casting out was a form of discipline, are they interceding for them?

I lost all hope. I felt I was going to die a sinner and not come out of my addictions but God brought two vibrant youths my way and they never gave up on me. Even when I keep falling, they were always praying and checking up on me.. I felt glad and my hope was restored.. if I am here inspiring you today with my write-ups and all. It is because they never gave up on me, God never gave up on me and my parents never stopped interceding for me.

Enough of we mocking our fellow bethren when they fall, we are loosing many souls to the world with this act of ours. Soul winning is not for the impatient.
What steps do you take after winning their souls to Christ?
Do you preach salvation to then or you condemn and blast them ?

I have come out for series of altar call, dropped my information. To my amazement, I hardly receive a call. Yet when a new convert goes back to the world.we are quick to tag them. Yet we call ourselves Christian!

“Let He who is free from sin, cast the first stone” If you feel you are steadfast because of your determination to remain in Christ. You lie! I was more than determined…yet I kept going back to my vomit..then I realized, that determination must be constantly fed with prayers, scriptures and other Godly means.

Unfortunately, not everyone has access to this. Some don’t even know how to study the Bible. Some don’t know how to pray. You are the only means they have to learn all these but unfortunately you never cared about them afterwards.you expect a day old baby to start walking immediately.

When you win a soul.. you need to feed their soul with the right food. Nuture them to a certain level where you know they can stand on their own.

Many call themselves ministers, group leaders and the likes. Yet they make themselves unnecessarily scarce. They feel being too accessible makes them cheap.. may I remind you God brought you to that level to help others rise and grow. Don’t forget your actions are making souls perish. They see you as a mentor that is why they approached you..

Must we let our fellow bethren fall before we correct/help them?
Many give up on their fellow bethren the moment they advice them and their advice are being turned down. Why not intercede on their behalf if you truly care for them!

It’s saddens my heart to see believers celebrating the downfall of their fellow bethren.
They are quick to judge
They are quick to mock.
They are quick to cast out.

Some even go as far as using you as examples to others .
The moment you confide in them, they end up using you as thier topic while preaching. You end up reading thier articles and you realize all they wrote was about you in a stylish manner..

We are getting mocked by unbelievers for this attitude of ours!

YOU WERE ONCE A LOST SOUL!
GRACE DIFFERS!
YOU FINDING EASY DOESN’T MEAN OTHERS WILL!
DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS, CIRCUMSTANCES AND STRUGGLES!

ITS HIGH TIME WE HELP ONE ANOTHER GROW RATHER THAN CELEBRATE THIER DOWNFALL!
REMEMBER, THE WORLD IS WATCHING!
WE ARE IN A TIME WHERE OUR CHARACTER AND SHOW OF LOVE IS BEING SEEN AS A TOOL FOR ENVAGELISM.
